DinoBrawl Part 1: The Stats Well, it's a couple of days late because I couldn't work on it over the weekend and my laptop died during a flippin' long power outage as soon as I started to type again, but after some late night mocha fueled typing it's finally done! *Because it wound quite possibly be the most extensive post in this site's history if it was in one piece, I decided to separate it into two sections: Stats and the actual fight. Without further ado, I introduce you to our combatants (with shortened and admittedly somewhat low quality files so you don't have to read for hours) that will participate in the DinoBrawl!!! InGen File: Oxalaia [img]http://fc02.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2011/184/e/e/oxalaia_quilombensis_by_wilksaur-d3kx25w.jpg[/img] Code Name: None Danger Level: Potentially dangerous if provoked or hungry Height: 19 feet Length: 46 feet Weight: 8.5 tons Speed: 28 mph Diet: Fish, crocodiles, various aquatic animals, dinosaurs, pterosaurs Weapons: Claws, bite Description: Oxalaia was cloned alongside most of the other spinosaurids. It resembles Spinosaurus morroccanus very closely as a juvenile but there are many behavioral and physical differences as adults. Oxalaia, though not as long or heavy as its cousin, is nearly as tall at the top of the head because it has a more upright stance than any other large theropod. It also has a shorter sail than both species of Spinosaurus, a bigger crest, is colored differently, has a different skin texture than S. aegyptiacus, is less aggressive, isn't territorial and has a 95% water based lifestyle like Suchomimus and Baryonyx. Oxalaia is similar to aegyptiacus in the sense that its sail runs all the way down its back and tail and it is social with others of its species when fishing and hunting on near water. Oxalaia is most active before the sun is up or on cloudy days because that's when its grey skin blends in best with the water and fog. They are expert swimmers and can hold their breath for over 20 minutes. InGen File: Zhuchengtyrannus [img]http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2011/111/4/6/zhuchengtyrannus_magnus_by_cheungchungtat-d3eau4z.jpg[/img] Code Name: Z. rex Danger Level: Extremely dangerous Height: 16 feet Length: 40 feet Weight: 9.5 tons Speed: 20 mph Diet: Various herbivores, carrion Weapons: Bite Description: Zhuchengtyrannus was cloned by accident when InGen scientists tried to clone more Tarbosaurus with DNA extracted from a femur found in Mongolia. They thought the dinosaurs they created were Tarbosaurus for years until the scientists noticed the skull shape was more robust and the dinosaurs were more brightly colored, having reddish skin and white and black bands around their tails and feet compared to the dark red and black colors of the Tarbosaurus. Zhuchengtyrannus, like all other tyrannosaurs, is social with other species of tyrannosaurs and its own. They occasionally hunt in packs and can interbreed with Tarbosaurus and Tyrannosaurus. They are both ambush predators and scavengers, something that makes them very successful carnivores. They live mostly on Isla Nublar because they were being unloaded in to their new paddock at the time of the 1993 incident. Also like other tyrannosaurs, they heavily dislike allosaurs, carcharodontosaurs, spinosaurs and megalosaurs for unknown reasons, though they tend to avoid theropods larger than themselves like Carcharodontosaurus and Spinosaurus. InGen File: Therizinosaurus [img]http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs48/f/2009/163/0/c/Therizinosaurus_by_IsisMasshiro.jpg[/img] Code name: Slasher Danger Level: Potentially dangerous if provoked Height: 20 feet Length: 35 feet Weight: 7 tons Speed: 20 mph Diet: Unknown, presumably omnivorous Weapons: Claws Description: Though many of InGen's dinosaurs have unusual traits, Therizinosaurus is particularly strange. Therizinosaurus has a long prosauropod-like neck mounted on a short body with an also strangely short tail. Perhaps its most notable feature is its three foot long claws it has on its long arms. When it was first cloned it was intended to be a minor attraction but, after replacing its enclosure in the new park maps, it was released in to the wild. No records were kept on diet, though reliable eyewitness reports say they are primarily herbivorous, though they occasionally eat insects. The first five cloned were scaly and more aggressive due to the water monitor lizard DNA the incomplete sequence was filled with, while the next 10 were feathery and and relatively peaceful because their DNA sequence was 98% complete and was filled with ornithomimid DNA in incomplete spots. Therizinosaurus males tend to live in bachelor groups, though females do occasionally form groups as well. Very little else is known about them other than they are common prey for larger theropods and raptor packs. InGen File: Columbian Mammoth [img]http://siberianmammoth.com/wp-content/themes/thesis_16/custom/rotator/ZdenekBurian_015.jpg[/img] Code Name: Woolly Mammoth or Woolly Danger Level: Potentially dangerous if provoked Height: 16 feet Length: 33 feet Weight: 13 tons Speed: 30 mph charge Diet: Plants Weapons: Enormous tusks Description: The Columbian Mammoth was created as an experiment for fun by some of the newer InGen scientists and it was allowed to roam free due to being a herbivore. When site B was abandoned so was the mammoth but it has been studied by visitors to the island. It appears to fend well against predators with its enormous size and nearly 20 foot tusks, both of which are unbroken and healthy, the tips covered in the blood of carnivores that tried to make a meal of it. The mammoth bears one bite mark on its ear. It was observed attempting to mingle with Ceratopsipes herds in its early years without success. Learning from its failures it is now a loner and it lives at the tallest peak of the mountain where the temperature is slightly more suiting for an ice age creature. Its only competition for food is the Indricotherium and the fairly large Brontomerus population. At nearly 16 feet at the shoulder it has little to worry about in the predator department, though Yutyrannus is potentially dangerous in pairs or packs. InGen File: Agustinia [img]http://images.wikia.com/dinosaurkingfanon/images/f/f1/Agustinia.jpg[/img] Code Name: None Danger Level: Potentially dangerous if threatened Height: 19 feet Length: 50 feet Weight: 15 tons Speed: 15 mph Diet: Various plants Weapons: Thagomizer, size Description: Agustinia is a dinosaur cloned as prey for large Allosaurus species. They are formidable foes because of their spiked armor that protects their body from attacks. Unlike its also armored titanosaur relatives it is not a herd animal and dwells in forests where it can hide better with its green and brown skin, though its long greyish spikes are a give away. They aren't born with the armor of huge spikes that adorn its neck, back and tail but instead have only have a thick keratin coat on its back with small bony knobs, which later grow into the characteristic spikes. Anatomy studies show that they have thick skin topped by multiple layers of keratin, the middle layers softer for shock absorbing and the top and bottom layers very solid and inflexible. They are punctured by the bony spikes which are also covered in a thick keratin layer. This is unusual for a titanosaur because they are usually only lightly armored and these features are most often seen in ankylosaurs and nodosaurs. InGen File: Sarcosuchus [img]http://www.science-art.com/gallery/19/19_529200318267.jpg[/img] Code Name: SuperCroc Danger Level: Moderately dangerous on land, extremely dangerous in or near water Height: 4.5 feet Length: 43 feet Weight: 10 tons Speed: 25 mph swimming, 10 mph dash on land Diet: Dinosaurs, other crocodiles, various animals near or in water Weapons: Bite, surprise attack Description: Sarcosuchus is the largest of three 40 foot crocodilians on the islands on average. It is also the best swimmer and can swim miles at a time, something that has allowed them to expand to all of the five deaths and possibly Costa Rica among other places if eyewitness reports are true. They coexist with other crocodiles by living in saltwater instead of the freshwater lakes and rivers of Deinosuchus and the swamps of Purussaurus. They are Spinosaurus' natural enemy do their similar habitats, diets and sizes. The SuperCroc usually wins the battle in deep water and loses on land, though in shallow water the fight can go either way one on one depending on the size and experience of the individuals. They are planned to be the main attraction of the reptile house. InGen File: Deinosuchus [img]http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-YBBSKavv3d4/Tszgy-9k0xI/AAAAAAAABoc/pfU-KFqhvjw/s1600/deinosuchus_and_albertosaurus.jpg[/img] Code Name: Deino Also Known As: Phobosuchus Danger Level: Very dangerous on land, extremely dangerous in or near water Height: 4 feet Length: 40 feet Weight: 8 tons Speed: 25 mph swimming, 15 mph dash on land Diet: Dinosaurs, other crocodiles, various animals near or in water Weapons: Bite, surprise attack Description: Deinosuchus is a giant crocodile endemic to the lakes and rivers of Site B and is also one of the three largest crocodiles on the islands. Its diet consists mostly of dinosaurs that drink from the water, ranging anywhere from Utahraptor to Tyrannosaurus. Even the largest dinosaurs have no chance if they enter the water wounded because the smell of blood attracts Deinosuchus from all around and they swarm their prey. They have a thriving population and are the most common large crocodile on Isla Sorna. Unlike Sarcosuchus and Purussaurus they are somewhat more agile on land because of their longer and more powerful legs that allow them to sprint for a short distance, something that makes them deadly out of water as well and it occasionally results in the deaths of careless visitors to the island. They are planned to be a major attraction in the reptile house. InGen File: Purussaurus [img]http://th00.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/i/2010/115/0/9/PURUSSAURUS___giant_alligator_by_pauloomarcio.jpg[/img] Code Name: King of Caimans Also Known As: Caiman King, Purussaurus Rex, Crusher Danger Level: Moderately dangerous on land, extremely dangerous in or near water Height: 4 feet Length: 40 feet Weight: 9.5 tons Speed: 25 mph swimming, 10 mph dash on land Diet: Dinosaurs, other crocodiles, various animals near or in water Weapons: Bite, surprise attack Description: The Purussaurus population on Isla Nublar is larger than the population on Sorna because ten were originally cloned for the park and kept on Site B nearly thirty years prior to the 1993 incident and after the 1993 incident more were cloned when the park was considered closed for good to keep the ecosystem stable on Nublar where a huge population of herbivores live but relatively few carnivores inhabit Nublar, with Carcharodontosaurus being the largest known predator (though Spinosaurus can and occasionally do visit when food is low) and it behaves differently than it does on Sorna, preferring to hunt medium sized herbivores solitary instead of sauropods. To avoid land predators the hadrosaurs started hiding from them by hanging around water where most large carnivores are barely mobile aside from Suchomimus, which ignored them in favor of fish and crocodiles most of the time. Spinosaurus was only a seasonal threat and so the population of hadrosaurs grew to an unhealthy number and Purussaurus was cloned in one of InGen's secret facilities and transported to Nublar where it thrived on hadrosaurs, killing them with one bone crushing bite. It plays a major role in keeping the ecosystem stable. It is planned to be one of the reptile house's star attractions. InGen File: Brontomerus Code Name: Bronto Danger Level: Harmless unless provoked Height: 19 feet Length: 50 feet Weight: 15 tons Speed: 15 mph Diet: Various plants Weapons: Legs, tail, size Description: Brontomerus is one of the sauropod species that lives on Site B. It inhabits the mountains and in the valley where it is preyed heavily upon by multiple carcharodontosaur species and occasionally Yutyrannus higher up. They have adapted to breed and grow very fast to keep their population healthy and also keep from going extinct by living in large herds that are led by the two largest individuals. They use their powerful abducter muscles to climb mountains and kick predators, and on top of that they can use their tails to hit predators with non-fatal stunning blows. InGen File: Utahraptor Code Name: Ripper Danger Level: Extremely dangerous Height: 12 feet Length: 30 feet Weight: .85 tons Speed: 55 mph Diet: Various herbivores Weapons: Huge sickle shaped claws, bite, hand claws, speed, size, intelligence Description: Utahraptor is described by many InGen scientists as "the perfect killing machine" due to its multiple deadly weapons. It is the 7th smartest dromaeosaur and 8th smartest dinosaur on the islands in general. It is also the largest dromaeosaur. Despite being an early raptor it still is one of the smartest and shows mild problem solving intelligence and is similar to Velociraptor sornensius in both size and appearance as well as behavior. Utahraptor, however, is more brightly colored with green, red, orange, yellow and blue scales. For many years it was considered to be a "Velociraptor" species and was called "Velociraptor regalis". It has a record of 14 human kills, all of which came from a tour bus that was illegally present on Isla Sorna. The only survivor says the intended path was blocked by two logs and when the bus stopped a pack of Utahraptor sprung from behind a tree and tore holes in the top of the bus and then jumped through, killing every passenger but the witness who hid under the seat and lost an arm before help could come. The Utahraptor left at the sight of a helicopter, showing they recognized it was danger and will presumably be extremely difficult to capture. InGen File: Suchomimus Code Name: Sucho Danger Level: Very dangerous to humans Height: 16 feet Length: 43 feet Weight: 7 tons Speed: 27 mph Diet: Fish, crocodiles, various small to medium sized dinosaurs Weapons: Size, huge claws, bite Description: Suchomimus is one of the few spinosaurs that live on Isla Nublar all year. It is primarily piscivorous despite being a giant super predator. Suchomimus has little competition other than Baryonyx because when Spinosaurus arrive in the winter they eat mostly crocodiles and hadrosaurs, things that Suchomimus only occasionally eats. It has a small ridge-like sail on its back and tail. Suchomimus is usually blue with a whitish underbelly. InGen File: The Horror Mouth Code Name: Horror Mouth Also Known As: Phobodon Danger Level: Very dangerous to humans Height: 16 feet Length: 43 feet Weight: 7 tons Speed: 27 mph Diet: Fish, crocodiles, various small to medium sized dinosaurs Weapons: Size, huge claws, bite Description: "The Horror Mouth" was created by accident from what was thought to be a Suchomimus skull fragment. When it first hatched it looked virtually identical to Suchomimus but as it grew older it developed a ridge-like sail similar to that of Spinosaurus moroccanus rather than the skin sail of aegyptiacus. However, it extended further down the tail than that of moroccanus but not as far as aegyptiacus', resulting in it looking like the known hybrids between the two aside from the color, skull difference and crocodilian scutes it shares with aegyptiacus. It lives on Isla Sorna where it competes with Suchomimus and Baryonyx for fish in the rivers and lakes. Virtually nothing else is known about due to its elusive nature. InGen File: Das Monster von Minden Code Name: none Danger Level: Extremely dangerous Height: 18 feet Length: 50 feet Weight: 10.5 tons Speed: 30 mph Diet: Various herbivores Weapons: Bite, speed, size, claws Description: Das Monster von Minden is a huge allosaur on Isla Sorna. Only 5 exist but, unusually for an allosaur, they don't hunt in a pack. They take down medium sized sauropods like Diplodocus easily on their own. They seem to be an evolutionary link between allosaurs and carcharodontosaurs, having an allosaur shaped skull with eyebrow ridges but with the smaller gape and stronger bite of a carcharodontosaur. Their build is somewhere in between the robust build of a carcharodontosaur and the light build of an allosaur. They are brown or green with red brow horns. InGen File: Supersaurus Code Name: Super Danger Level: Harmless unless provoked Height: 50 feet Length: 112 feet Weight: 40 tons Speed: 15 mph Diet: Various plants Weapons: Size, tail Description: Supersaurus was cloned years before the park opened along with Brachiosaurus and a few other sauropods. Only enough DNA was collected to create two and only one is still alive, the other having been devoured in 2010 by packs of Mapusaurus, Giganotosaurus, Carchararodontosaurus, Tyrannotitan, Kelmayisaurus and Troodon that live in the caves on the sides of the valley. The carcass provided a nesting place for the Troodon's eggs but it wasn't alive for long after the laid them and most of them died before their parents could collect them and find another incubator to paralyze and lay their eggs in. The other Supersaurus travels with the Argentinosaurus herd most of the time and is easily spottable among the grey Argentinosaurus because he is brown with black stripes. InGen File: Titanoboa Code Name: Megaconda Also Known As: Superboa, super snake Danger Level: Very high Height: 1 foot Length: 50 feet Weight: 1.5 tons Speed: 8 mph on land, 20 mph in water Diet: Crocodiles, dinosaurs, whatever comes in or near water Weapons: Bite, constricting force of 400 lbs psi Description: Titanoboa is the largest snake ever to live. It now lives in the swamps of Isla Nublar where it competes with Purussaurus for food. It behaves much like a crocodile, disguising itself as a log and biting prey before constricting them. It can and occasionally does climb trees and ambushes prey from above with a lightning quick strike. InGen File: Iguanodon Code Name: Iggy Danger Level: Harmless unless provoked Height: 12 feet in quadrupedal stance, 16 feet in bipedal stance Length: 43 feet Weight: 9 tons Speed: 30 mph Diet: Various plants Weapons: Thumb spikes, size Description: Iguanodon is a common herbivore on both Islands owned by InGen. It is a herd animal hunted by large carnivores, but males can fight back with amazing power when they feel threatened and have been observed stabbing Tarbosaurus and Kelmayisaurus to death with their huge thumb spikes and herds can trample even Spinosaurus and Tyrannosaurus to death. Like most other hadrosaurs, Iguanodon follow herds of sauropods from time to time, most often when they migrate from the northern side of the islands to the south and back. Iguanodon have a very wide variety of colors due to the multiple species its genus contains. InGen File: Kaprosuchus Code Name: BoarCroc Also Known As: Dinosaur Slasher Danger Level: Extremely dangerous Height: 4 feet Length: 20 feet Weight: 1 ton Speed: 30 mph Diet: Dinosaurs, fish, other crocodiles, various animals Description: Kaprosuchus is the second largest land crocodile created by InGen. It is notorious for throwing caution to the wind and attacking venomous animals and dinosaurs much larger than itself such as Suchomimus and Spinosaurus, both which it shares a habitat with on Site B. In groups of three or four they can and sometimes do eat Sarcosuchus. Their primary prey is Ouranosaurus, which they hunt by running under it and tearing its belly open, spilling its intestines out. The scent of blood often attracts more Kaprosuchus and they will fiercely defend their kills from other predators of any size. InGen File: Sauroposeidon Code Name: Earthquake Danger Level: Harmless unless provoked Height: 60 feet Length: 112 feet Weight: 66 tons Speed: 15 mph Diet: Tree leaves Weapons: Size Description: Sauroposeidon is one of the largest sauropods cloned. It travels with herds of Brachiosaurus, Giraffititan, Breviparopus and "The Archbishop", all of which are closely related enough to interbreed and hybrids are very common. It primarily eats high up tree leaves and plants growing on cliffs. Sauroposeidon is virtually immune from predation when fully grown because it doesn't walk through the carcharodontosaurs' valley to get to the lake, preferring instead to drink from the pools on the cliffs overhanging the beach or from the river like other tall sauropods. Sauroniops only hunts in trios or quartets. InGen File: Paralititan Code Name: Beach Giant Danger Level: Harmless unless provoked Height: 40 feet Length: 102 feet Weight: 66 tons Speed: 15 mph Diet: Various plants Weapons: Tail, size Description: Paralititan is the largest beach dwelling sauropod created by InGen. Juveniles are easily hunted by Bahariasaurus, Spinosaurus, Carcharodontosaurus saharicus and Kaprosuchus among many things but adults can easily take out most carnivores that dwell on the beach. Like other animals, however, they must drink from fresh water and have to get to the lake to avoid being attacked by the many Deinosuchus that inhabit the river, though the lake has a fair population as well. The Paralititan avoid the carcharodontosaurs in the mountain passages by circling around on the beach and then entering the forest path and getting to the lake, a pattern the repeat every two days. The reason they don't live in the northern part of the island is the heavy Carcharodontosaurus pack population, something that is nonexistent in the south where the solitary or only family hunting Tyrannosaurus lives. InGen File: Amargasaurus Code Name: Spiny Danger Level: Harmless unless provoked Height: 13 feet Length: 35 feet Weight: 9 tons Speed: 20 mph Diet: Various plants Weapons: Tail Description: Amargasaurus is another sauropod of Isla Sorna. It is a herd animal that follows Argentinosaurus packs and it is common prey for many theropods, becoming a meal for carcharodontosaurs more often than any other animal. Because of this it breeds and grows very rapidly, something that is only accelerated by the growth gene given to the dinosaurs by InGen, meaning the sauropods breed every three to five months instead of every year. Amargasaurus is usually orangish brown with black stripes and spikes. InGen File: Spinophorosaurus Code Name: None Danger Level: Harmless unless provoked Height: 18 feet Length: 50 feet Weight: 15 tons Speed: 15 mph Diet: Various plants Weapons: Thagomizer, size Description: Unusually for a sauropod, Spinophorosaurus has a spiked thagomizer at the end of its tail. It proves to be an effective weapon against hungry carnivores, which often leads to a safe passage through the carcharodontosaur valley. Spinophorosaurus are grey with a black stripe down their back. InGen File: Edmontosaurus Code Name: Edmonto Danger Level: Moderately dangerous Height: 12 feet in quadrupedal stance, 16 feet in bipedal stance Length: 43 feet Weight: 9 tons Speed: 30 mph Diet: Various plants Weapons: Thumb spikes, size, beak Description: Edmontosaurus is very similar to iguanodon. They are virtually identical in shape, size, color and sound but one difference is the behavior of Edmontosaurus. It is omnivorous like the smaller Muttaburrasaurus and will eat humans because they are seen as easy prey, though most of the time it scavenges or eats plants. Its carnivorous behavior was first revealed when three subadults tried to eat a keeper but they were quickly forced back with a powerful hose until the victim could escape. Workers are advised to behave as if they are a carnivore and they are not to roam free like the other hadrosaurs. InGen File: Fasolasuchus Code Name: Fasola Danger Level: Extremely dangerous Height: 9 feet Length: 35 feet Weight: 6.5 ton Speed: 30 mph Diet: Various herbivores, other crocodiles, carrion Weapons: Bite, size, speed Description: Fasolasuchus is the largest land crocodile created by InGen. It is a fearsome predator that inhabits the beaches of Site B where it competes with Carcharodontosaurus saharicus and Spinosaurus for food, taking both hadrosaurs and crocodiles as primary food as well as kills from smaller animals like Deltadromeus. It has a bright green and white head with a dark green crocodilian body. InGen File: Hatzegopteryx Code Name: Sky god Danger Level: Extremely dangerous Height: 21 feet Wingspan: 45 feet Weight: 600 lbs Speed: 25 mph on ground, 40 mph straight flying Diet: Small animals, carrion Weapons: Huge beak, size, flying ability Description: Hatzegopteryx is the largest pterosaur created by InGen. Like Quetzalcoatlus, only two were created: a male and a female. It is more brightly colored than Quetzalcoatlus, with bright red wings that have purple and blue circle patters on them one its beak is bright orange with a yellow tip and crest and it has a white body. The Quetzalcoatlus and Hatzegopteryx do not interact because they live on different islands and can't fly far away from their nests for fear of losing their offspring. InGen File: Utah Nodosaur Code Name: Nodo Danger Level: Harmless unless provoked Height: 12 feet Length: 35 feet Weight: 8 tons Speed: 18 mph charge Diet: Low lying plants Weapons: Tail, size Description: The giant Nodosaurs of Site B were cloned from a number of specimens found in Utah in 2006. They travel in a large herd and roam the plains on the southern side of the island though some have managed to pass into the north by crossing over the mountains. They primarily eat grass though they enjoy the prehistoric plants InGen recreated for the herbivores when they can find them in the north. Their armor and size prevent them from being killed by most carnivores. InGen File: Dacentrurus Code Name: Stegosaur E Danger Level: Harmless unless provoked Height: 12 feet Length: 35 feet Weight: 8 tons Speed: 18 mph Diet: Various plants Weapons: Thagomizer, size Description: Dacentrurus is one of the many stegosaurs created by InGen. They were originally thought to be rather small at only a little over 25 feet but grew larger than even the biggest Stegosaurus species when cloned from a particularly large specimen that may have been an alpha. Due to them all being female they can't breed but reproduce asexually like many other dinosaurs. They were expected to travel in herds but don't, probably due to being very competitive as alphas. InGen File: Gigantoraptor Code Name: Giganto Danger Level: Extremely dangerous Height: 16 feet Length: 30 feet Weight: 3 tons Speed: 45 mph Diet: Small animals Weapons: Bite, extreme kicking power, speed Description: Gigantoraptor lives primarily on Site A but some on Sorna in a small enclosure managed to survive and broke free. They eat lizards and small dinosaurs and they see humans as easy prey. Like a cassowary they are very fast and can kick with enough force to puncture steel. Their beaks are also capable of biting with enough force to break bone. InGen File: Deinocheirus Code Name: None Danger Level: Harmless unless provoked Height: 19 feet feet Length: 35 feet Weight: 2.5 tons Speed: 66 mph Diet: Insects, small animals, various plants Weapons: Speed, bite, extreme kicking power Description: Deinocheirus is the largest ornithomimid and is also quite possibly the fastest, capable of outrunning any theropod that runs at it and a National Geographic article claims one was clocked at 66 miles per hour when running from a Deltadromeus trio. Deinocheirus is also capable of fighting if need be with its huge claws, beak and powerful legs and one mother had been observed attacking an Allosaurus that tried to eat its young, a scene that was captured by National Geographic magazine as well. It is a mountain dwelling creature that preys primarily on Brontomerus in packs. It competes with the Troodon boreonychus and Smilodon as well as the Kelenken for food and higher up it can clash with Yutyrannus. They are colored much like spotted hyenas with the face patterns of cheetahs. It hunts in packs and regularly takes down medium sized ornithopods and competes with the carnivorous mammals of the island and the various raptor species. InGen File: Smilodon Code Name: Sabertooth Danger Level: Extremely dangerous Height: 5 feet Length: 11 feet Weight: .5 tons Speed: 35 mph Diet: Various herbivores Weapons: Sabertooth bite, powerful limbs, claws Description: Smilodon populator is a feline that lives in prides high in the mountains of both islands owned by InGen. The males and females share kills, and while the males are larger and more powerful, the females are faster and have longer teeth for puncturing the major veins of prey, their main food sources being small- to medium sized mountain dwelling sauropods and ornithopods. Smilodon populator has a symbiotic relationship with the cave dwelling Troodon boreonychus: if the Smilodons can protect the Troodon during the day, part of the Troodon pack will stay behind while the others hunt and guard the Smilodon at night.
