MemberCompsognathusJun-25-2013 7:00 PMYangchuanosaurus was the Chinese cousin of Allosaurus. It was also 36 feet long and 13 feet tall, as big as Allosaurus. It had long sharp teeth backed by a powerful jaw. It almost surely hunted in packs, and would attack a large sauropod without thinking twice. Or it might settle for a large stegosaur. On odd thing about this predator is that it had four fingers, unlike the normal allosaurus three. It was a very fast runner with its long legs. This dinosaur deserves some serious respect.

MemberCompsognathusJun-25-2013 7:53 PMIt may be the same as Metricanthosaurus. I thought it had 3 fingers, but I could be wrong. It averaged closer to 26-29 ft long, but may have been able to get to 33, but I don't think it could get much bigger than that. Probably had a weight in the ballpark of 2 tons. Seems kind of lightly built to me. Probably to hit 25 miles per hour. Definitely an interesting and a pretty cool dinosaur.

MemberCompsognathusJun-25-2013 8:16 PMIt is pretty cool. I think DinoFights has it scheduled in the DinoFights lineup, so hopefully that will get it some recognition.

MemberCompsognathusJun-25-2013 11:57 PMIt is NOT Metriacanthosaurus. China and England are two very different places. The dino did have four claws and and a shorter snout, more like the Aelisaurs. As for the length, it was, up to. Allosaurus length and height, 36 feet long 12 feet tall.

MemberCompsognathusJun-26-2013 3:06 PMYangchuanosaurus was reclassified as a species of Metriacanthosaurus. Or at least a species of Yangchuanosaurus was. Sorry, but that's what the facts say. I am not being rude, just stating what I found. Everything I found about Yang/Metri size was in the ballpark of 26-33 ft. I don't really care if you think I'm right or wrong, just stating what I have found.
