NoobMember0 XPJun-18-2013 1:24 PMFrom the ongoing mystery of the fossils found in Brazil emerges more news. The fossils were being removed and cleaned, but in the process, more fossils were found. Fragments of the ribs and a thick dome fragment were found. A thick dome looking like it belonged to a pachycephalosaur. "It certainly seems like it, but pachycephalosaurs are only known to live in North America and Asia,", said my sister, "but it could be that one branch grew to massive proportions when it crossed into and adapted to Cretaceous South America, adapting to fight large theropods rather than flee.". The idea of a 55 foot Pachycephalosaurus seems crazy, and it sort of is. My sister's team agrees that it probably wasn't 55 feet. If proportioned like a pachycephalosaur, it would have been only about 38-43 feet. Still gigantic compared to the current record holder of largest pachycephalosaur, Pachycephalosaurus, at a mere 15 feet. The news came to me just a few minutes ago, but the discovery was apparently made yesterday. 40 foot pachycephalosaur vs 45 foot carcharodontosaur? Yes please.

NoobMember0 XPJun-18-2013 2:45 PMIt may be an abelisaur. Similar to how Majungatholus/Majungasaurus was first thought to be a pachy. It may be a pachy, but it also could be a giant abelsaur. Many carnivore groups had at least one member of super-predator proportions. Many large carnivores at least.
