MemberCompsognathusJun-14-2013 7:20 AMBoy have I got some exiting news! My sister, who is an archaeologist/paleontologist has found some new fossils in South America, where her team has been on an expedition for fossils. I just got off the phone with her a few minutes ago and they're on to a huge find! At first they were finding smaller fossils of fish and crocodiles, but a few hours ago they unearthed a very large theropod. At first they assumed the skull was that of a Purussaurus, which it is very similar to in shape and everything. Upon further investigation, however, they found very large bones of a theropod likely rivaling the largest Spinosaurus in size. Currently, they have a partially complete skull, a femur, a claw and a couple vertebrae. I'll try to keep you updated on this but I'm sick and sleeping a lot.
