MemberCompsognathusJun-13-2013 6:55 PMNow, this includes the carcharodontosaurs. My favorite member of this group is Allosaurus itself. On the average, these predators were about 33 ft long and just over 3 tons in weight. Some estimates go as high as 40 ft and 5 tons though. Either way, they were big. Allosaurus could also hit 20 miles an hour. Along with 3-4 inch long teeth, they also had 6-9 inch claws on their hands. Allosaurus was truly a terror from the Jurassic.

So what about you guys? What are your favorite allosaurs? This includes the carcharodontosaurs. You can include Acrocanthosaurus and Deltadromeus even though Acro may be a spinosaur and Delta is technically a ceratosaur, but may be an allosaur.

MemberCompsognathusJun-13-2013 8:32 PMSome are just closer than others. Keep in mind the ceratosaurs and tyrannosaurs are not Carnosaurs. Ceratosaurs are on their own and the tyrannosaurs are coelurosaurs.

MemberCompsognathusJun-14-2013 6:53 AMHmm... I think Deltadromeus is awesome. I also like Mapusaurus. Giganotosaurus and Carcharodontosaurus were probably my favorites when I was littler. Still like them though.
