1. Dino-Riders is a cartoon television series that first aired in 1988.[1] Dino-Riders was primarily a promotion to launch a new Tyco toy line.[2] Only fourteen episodes were produced, three of which were produced on VHS for the United States.[2] The series focuses on the battle between the good Valorians and evil Rulons on prehistoric Earth.[2] The Valorians were a super human race, whilst the Rulons were a mixture of humanoid creatures — both of which came from the future, however ended up transported back in time to the age of Dinosaurs. Once on Earth, the Valorians befriended dinosaurs whilst the Rulons brain-washed them.[2]The Valorians were a peaceful race that had lived in harmony until the evil Rulons came and attacked them.[2] The Valorians tried to escape from the Rulon assault and attempted to use their "Space Time Energy Projector" (S.T.E.P.) to do so, however something went wrong and they ended up being sent back through time to the age of the dinosaurs.[2] Unbeknownst to them the Rulons in the spaceship Dreadlock were also sent back through time when the S.T.E.P. was activated.[2]The Valorians, led by Questar, after making planet-fall use their AMP necklaces to telepathically communicate with the dinosaurs they come across and befriend them.[2] The Rulons, led by their leader Krulos, on the other hand used brainwashing devices known as brain-boxes to control dinosaurs for their own ends.[2] The Rulons then launched an attack on the Valorians, who call upon their dinosaur friends to assist them in fighting back. After successfully defeating the Rulons, the Valorians declare themselves to be the Dino-Riders.(Wikipedia) These Franchises could be epic…..Big Stars, Big Directors = Big Big Bucks The budget gets supported by video games and childrens toys 2. Turok Dinosaur Hunter- When the character appeared in Valiant Comics, the concept and setting were altered. Turok and Andar were now 18th century Native Americans. The isolated valley became "The Lost Lands" - a land where Demons, Dinosaurs and Aliens flourished and where "Time has no meaning". A cosmic anomaly caused time in The Lost Lands to move in a self-contained loop (which meant that while millions of years passed outside of it, inside it, time barely moved at all). "Unity", a line-wide Valiant Comics crossover storyline, altered the concept even further. The crossover's main villain, a psychotic, super-powered being known as Mothergod used the Lost Land as the base of operations. She outfitted Dinosaurs with intelligence-boosting implants, turning them into "bionisaurs". In the aftermath of the final battle between Mothergod and Valiant Universe heroes, the Lost Lands began to disappear. Turok and Andar were tossed into a post-apocalyptic future Earth, and a group of bionisaurs made it to Earth along with them. Following this, they became ruthless hunters trying to contend with the demons and aliens that exist in the future world as well as various Lovecraftian abominations and high-tech future warriors. Mothergod had seized power in this future and, with the help of The Campaigner, The Longhunter, Thunder (a biomechanical Tyrannosaur) and Mantid (a 30-foot robot praying mantis), had begun to rebuild her empire and attempt to hunt down and kill Turok and Andar. (Wikipedia) Who would star? Direct? What Dino- Story would you want to see made into a Summer Blockbuster?

I agree. There's real potential in these kind of franchises to do really well at the box office. However, if these franchises you mentioned were to be exploited, the advertising/previews for movies or TV shows would have to really draw audiences in. People these days won't be that interested in another dinosaur action film - heck, there are even people hating on Jurassic Park IV - unless there is GOOD advertising, like REALLY good. And like you said, director, cast, and crew is also huge. You want people with experience and motivation on board, and you need popular actors and actresses to back up your film. You don't have those, you don't have a film, and you don't make the big bucks.

I tried to edit this post without success, my intention was to ask: Who would you like to see star? direct? What Dino-Story would you like to see as a Summer Blockbuster @Dinosaur.Fanatic- People these days won't be that interested in another dinosaur action film - heck, there are even people hating on Jurassic Park IV. I have to admit I started this thread thinking.... Damn Im really interested in seeing a Dino action film that IS NOT JP.

I might be setting myself up here, but I could see J. J. Abrams directing for Turok Dinosaur Hunter. As there is really only one main character, they would have to expand upon that a little, add characters. I could see Brad Pitt starring as Turok, maybe Scarlett Johannsen as his girlfriend or sidekick. Then maybe have someone like Arnold Schwarzenegger as The Campaigner.
