MemberOvomorphJan-27-2013 1:59 AMI'm a big fan of Noomi's The Girl with the Dragoon tattoo thriller :) do you think that the similarity of names was only coincidence? Elizabeth Shaw (E.S) and Elisabeth Salander (E.S).
I don't mind if somebody has an accent, actually, I love accent and I also have soft accent :-) Noomi rocked in movie The Girl with the Dragoon Tattoo and she was also excellent in Prometheus :-)
I have a pretty good idea of where it is. It's just down there, in the basement....

She's a fine actress who does stressful very well, but her 'English' accent ("Chorlie - where are you seeing this?") still grates, but only a tiny bit.

MemberOvomorphJan-29-2013 12:23 PMFor me the accent is not noticable or a problem. The fact that speaks in English is most helpful. I am not familiar with Noomi the actress. Her Shaw role sort of defines the actress inmy mind. I wonder if i'll recognize her in other movies?
I would say this: She plays the Shaw very well from a wide eye idealist searching for her makers to a down and dirty scrambler that takes direct action when dealing with the Last Engineer and her 'baby'.
I also like her resolve when heading for where the Engineers came from in her search for her truth. I don't want to get in her way.

She was playing very strong and unique character :-) it's in Swedish language which reminds me English language but backward. I have to warn you the movie is not for a person with the weak stomach :-)

MemberOvomorphJan-31-2013 12:06 AMThanks for the movie suggetion. I have watched the trailer for her movie(it is part of a trilogy). There were a couple of interviews with her so i had a chance to see and hear her talk.
I thought she looked different in Prometheus(thinner face). Her English speech pattern was very good in the interviews but the sound was changed in our movie.
Thanks for the movie suggestion. I am sure it will come into my life somehow.

MemberOvomorphFeb-03-2013 8:52 AMis it not true that ridley has an alphabetical pattern habit when it comes to names i.e. r ripley s shaw and so on as with the androids there was ash then bishop then call then david, hah! does that mean ridley considers 'resurrection part of the continuum if not canon. both the heroines have similar first names ellen and elizabeth does holloway not call her 'ellie' at one point maybe shaw is to be ripleys grandmother? speculation overdrive i know.....
