Fox! This viral campaign was worse than the characters in the film! Dont get me wrong I love what they were trying to do here in the film and viral but it just never left the hanger like a rocket car with no wheels :P !
Do you at fox know that the david post video is still locked here !? : [url=http://www.projectprometheus.com/careers/]http://www.projectprometheus.com/careers/[/url] has it been forgotten? And the classified section is still locked from the menu tab!!
On and on mess after mess and mistake after mistake no one can deny this now!
All Fox needs to do is make it believable next time and make everything work and make sense (within reason of course)! Its like someone with dementia is in charge!
Anyway just wanted to get that out there - it has been such a disappointing journey apart from parts of the film were it really shined - I just hope they learn from there mistakes from now on (not likely I know).
I do however still need to check out the blu ray with the comments etc. to get a full picture but I just cant bring myself to buy it yet! I am still hopeful for part 2 and the future but not much any more :( ...

MemberOvomorphNov-10-2012 12:25 PM@dj: The 4 disc blu ray set is one of the best, most comprehensive, blu ray sets ive ever seen (and i have literally hundreds of blu rays). Its absolutely worth purchasing. the 4 hour doc. is extremely comprehensive...thats why some people (who have no clue what they are talking about) told you that the documentary depicts a disorganized production process. What some people dont seem to understand is that the process of bringing any film to fruition is always painstaking and always bordering on chaos. How anyone can watch the documentary and come away with anything but respect for the process boggles the mind.
I agree that the marketing campaign completely fell a part. excellent ideas and designs and....plop. However, fans need to remember, myself included, that just because the prometheus marketing was ostensibly attempting to be more than it could be...at the end of the day its all still a poster stuck on a wall asking you to buy something (figuratively). dont let certain messy aspects ruin a truly impressive blu ray experience (film, transfer, documentary etc). The blu ray is a must own.

whats the 4 disk blue-ray i thought it was the one with the 3D version, theater release and the furious gods documentry. is there another version?

yup. 4 disc blu ray set is exactly what you mentioned (plus a fourth disc which is just the dvd/digital copy). The reason why people reference that set is because it is the only one that contains the VERY comprehensive "furious gods" doc.

MemberFacehuggerNov-12-2012 8:39 AMYes nothing wrong with what this site did - all very good just the Fox stuff :( ...hmmm I do need to do the blu ray soon...but I fear it will show the weaknesses even more. I just think people went out to see this film thinking it was going to be based on a rock solid idea that Ridley had been working on since alien and that the three parts were all planned out at least in the bare bones so that clever things were intertwined and only made sense after seeing the whole thing. It just feels like it was almost the complete opposite of this - crazy stuff! I do hope this is wrong but nothing seems to back this idea up at all!

I'm just shy of $999,999,995 of my investment, but there is always the lotto...
