I heard a theory that goes full circle (or more so 'straight line', i guess) and puts Shaw in the seat of the original Space Jockey. (In full chest-bursted glory). Probably not, although kind of a cool idea. I'm still curious though, as to what she wears (if anything) while piloting that ship.

If Shaw can patch David together, it would be more efficient for David to do the piloting. Since there is plenty of oxygen on the Juggernaut, we may presume that Shaw won't require a helmet in her current ship. But if she does, she has a big stash of oxygen canisters in her bag.

You're right; assuming she would have what she needed on that little moon to help reassemble him. I still wonder- it seems like the suit was sort of connected with the seat just prior to take-off. Also, i noticed the elephantine trunk connected itself to the torso. Whether or not any of this is needed to operate the ship-who knows!?

I like to think it will be a joint effort between Shaw and David with Shaw in the suit/chair because she's organic, and skin contact is essential. The creepy intimacy of that appeals to me, like you're in the Juggernauts mouth. I like the idea of Shaw being the Space Jockey too, but I like the idea of the SJ as it is in Alien better. As for the Juggernaut itself, it does appear to be pressurized as ZZ said, which I'll admit was one of the maybe 2 disappointments for me in Prometheus, I always liked the idea of it being the equivalent of a huge creepy flying basement with the door open, exposed to the vacuum and cold of space.

Well how many times did you watch it yesterday? If it was just the one I don't see how Mrs. Oldguy could complain....

Be careful, Mr. Old Guy. what movie you make her watch, Mrs. Old Guy will have you watching 'The Notebook' several times in the next week...

Shaw probably fixes up david with all the hi-tech weyland equipment, and they both fly the ship(what majornoob said). How far is the engineer planet? Do their ships have light speed? How is Shaw gonna survive without no munch or water?...

When would Shaw patch up David? I sort of thought, in the interest of time. they would have done the unification while on flight to the next stop in the Engineer's trail. You mention using Weyland's equipment to do the deed and that would make sense if they used Weyland equipment..but I don't think any survivied the ramming. If I were a fixed up David I would be worried if the next Engineer they meet would also perform a ripping head deed. Shaw made the warning xmission from the Juggernaut. David handled transmission duties on the Prometheus At least for now Shaw seems to be the Mission Commander

Shaw would need to grow by a factor of at least 4 in order to reach the size of the original SJ. If the suits in the area prior to the control room are any indication, they are even larger than the engineers. Alien was on HBO last night btw and Ms. OldGuy wasn't happy that I made her sit through it again.

@Indy John "When would Shaw patch up David?" I imagine it would be one of Shaw's first tasks. Perhaps it takes place in the Escape Module before their buggy ride to the next pyramid. There aren't enough pixels on the screen to see if this is the case nor not. It's likely that David only needs a few control fibres to be hooked up to his body to do most of the job himself. Shaw had transmission duties at the end because it was obviously an echo of Ripley's speech to come. I'm sure David didn't object.

Sometimes I forget there are some tie ins to Alien..so Shaw's speech falls in place with future events.. I can't recall if her entire report in on screen..or was it just the ending. I say this because I would be curious what she would include in an extended report,,,but more importantly to me,,what she would leave out.. How would she portray Weyland and Vickers? Since David is on board I doubt she would have anythng negative to say on this subject. Praise heroism for the deed Janek & crew did with the Juggernaut In our mind we can view the movie as the warning she should have sent.. Goodbye,,I'm out!
