MemberOvomorphAug-12-2012 11:16 PMI started the "plot holes" thread which was going to archive all the questions the film poses. A problem with the edit function put the project on hold. The problem still isn't fixed and the thread grew like wildfire and is now quite long with many questions and ideas. It would take me time I don't really have to fix it.
But yeah, an FAQ could be a good idea I suppose. I just think there are so many questions and so many things are speculative that it'd be kind of difficult. There's not many questions that people ask that have solid, factual answers.
Then again, I'm coming from the side that pretty much knows all the factual info there is. I suppose there are newer fans who have questions that would be considered common knowledge by most here.
No harm in starting one. Just a lot to consider. Someone would have to edit the first post and that edit function bug pops up every time I edit something frequently. It pops up quite a bit the first time I try to edit.

MemberOvomorphAug-12-2012 11:27 PMWhat if you had two different threads? One for the questions and one for the FAQ itself? Would the Mods be able to limit who posts in one thread to whoever is running the FAQ so that the only posts are each FAQ question instead of just the beginning post? Then you really don't have to edit one post over and over.

MemberOvomorphAug-12-2012 11:42 PMI think I understood that post lol.
No, I think I get what you're saying and I don't think they can stop people from posting in a thread yet allow someone to keep posting in it. They can lock a thread and the person who started it can edit it but then you run into the edit function problem again and it's game over and you have to decide if you want to start over or not.
Just try it. No harm in trying.

Custodian
MemberOvomorphAug-13-2012 4:24 AMI think a FAQ for Prometheus would be a really hard thing to do, as 'so little' has been revealed about the fim, by its film makers
And by this I mean SPECIFICALLY OBFUSCATING or FOG OF WARring the real motivations and narrative-drives of the released-to-theatre film.
Shouldn't we wait until Pro~2 aka Para~ for a proper good FAQing?
2013 sci-fi horror novels 'Custodian' and 'Tandem' available from Amazon, B&N, iTunes etc...

MemberOvomorphAug-13-2012 8:34 AMExactly FAQ of prometheus is like a FAQ of how long is a piece of string. :P
