Scientists: Dr Daisuke (Astronomer), Dr Arthur (paleontologist), Dr Sydney (Archeologist), and Dr Savir (Geneticist) Pilots: Jim, Kail and Connor. The crew explores the pyramid. Inside on the temple the crew is attacked by huge snakes (22 feet long) living in the swamps of Black waters in the rooms of the big head. There, one of the creatures crushed the head of one of the Marines, Hunter, with their powerful jaws. Then Lawrence opens fire with his pulse rifle against the creature, killing her; but the corrosive blood reaches his face and body and burned to death. Another snake wrapped around the body of Cameron crushing by constriction. After killing him is burned with a flamethrower by Commander Shepard. The creature moves with great speed and agility on the walls and ceilings and attacks by ambush, killing 3 members (Abie, Bernard, and Daisuke). when he finally reveals himself kill Arthur and Morgan with its second mouth. Finally, the monster is destroyed, but the squadron of the mission has suffered heavy losses. The crew also collected what looks like a kind of solidified green resin, this resin in the form of green crystals preserved in very good condition DNA samples from some kind of creature. The samples dating back millions of years old. There, the creature displays enormous tentacles and inserted into the skin of Shaw. Shaw's body begins to mutate into a big biomechanical woman. But before David takes the following action, the terrifying figure of the now transformed Shaw appears behind him to destroy it. Now a dark and frightening battle will occur in LV-223...

First a few questions would have to be addressed. Do Engineer ships require cryostasis during flight or are they even faster than FTL. How long will the trip take Shaw and David. These two will have some very interesting conversations during the trip, I would like to have some of David's motivations be his own rather than directives from Weyland. Illustrating his evolution from a tool to be used by his creators into an independent artificial organism. My next thought was why the installation had not been visited since the outbreak 2000 years ago. This doesn't bode well for what Shaw will find when she reaches their world. I try to imagine the sort of disorientation an engineer would be suffering from after spending two millenia in cryostasis. Unless someone told him, did he even know that much time had passed? I'm not asking to be spoon fed answers, just given a taste of solutions. I'd dearly love to totally shock the audience by having Shaw discover that the engineers are merely evolved creations of yet a second race of aliens, perhaps the Pure Xenomoph. Something thats larger and completely not in keeping with what we've seen so far. Shaw would become quite interesting as she is the sole representative of a unique biological genome, and she's convieniently delivered herself into the hands of the master craftsmen of this entire spider web. So it would be up to David to extracate her from this situation or at least to do something to both drive the story as well as suture up the loose ends. For all of this he would have to be whole once more, I've no doubt Shaw could accomplish this she's a woman of many talents and she has God on her side apparently.

__ "Prometheus 2"-- 1. The engineers seeded Earth because of a known future apocalypse. They attempted to put forth a legacy. 2. That known event has something to do with what happened on both LV-426 (first) and later LV-223. What happened to the original Space Jockey is directly stated and shown. 3. Shaw/David discover that the reason no engineers rescued or even made contact with LV-223 is because they succumbed to the apocalypse... As in- Shaw/David discover that all engineer society & technology are ruins now. 4. The Deacon creature is explained to be just another example of the many possible results of Black Goo infection, Face Hugger impregnation, and NOT being the result of weapon development or bio-engineering. The deacon example is shown to be a natural Evolutionary occurrence that was perhaps (at best) harvested- or attempted to be "Domesticated" for lack of my tired brains vernacular. This is my ultimate sequel scenario.

Let's just redo Prometheus to start with and go from there! Kill the deacon (how silly - maybe with a meteor or something) and Shaw - fix David and go right back to LV-223 and do it right with a team of smart professionals/scientist that do not act like morons loaded with poor dialogue!

Ok- and again... Prometheus didn't answer but one question asked years ago by the original film Alien. It was way too open-ended on it's own, and even worse after having seen the original. I would put forth here, not so much what "I" would do in a sequel to Prometheus, but instead a rather wordy example of what I like to see in any prequel/sequel. I know- Its not a prequel. But the one other prequel that I have viewed was just as much a disappointment: The Thing (2011)... Conceived as a story about the Norwegians who discovered, and had their own prior dealings with John Carpenter's The Thing. Except for a few interesting novelties, IT WAS THE EXACT SAME STORY! No new ideas or enlightenment with regard to the events that would be portrayed just hours (in movie time) later. The Thing simply devoured/assimilated/destroyed the Norwegians and then a variation of it just escapes and does the same to the Americans and their camp. IMHO, it would have been great for the 2011 prequel to show the Norwegians get really, really close to conquering this nemesis- but run out of time or resources or something. Then; by movie's end, the clever (or just lucky?) Thing should have (again- IMHO) outwitted the Norwegian's last survivors foolproof, well thought out, absolutely guaranteed to work plan. Perhaps by some accident or other such reverse deus ex machina in that film, the Thing as a dog escapes once more- leaving the viewer to cringe knowing that the Norwegians came THAT CLOSE to victory- and wishing that the Americans hadn't ignorantly killed; instead of wounding, the very last Norwegian who knew the secret to destroying "The Thing"- despite his language gap. Prometheus could have been a marvelous mystery solver had it been written by a sophisticated, detail oriented enthusiast of the original. Instead, Ridley Scott hired a whack job and went back and forth with him creating plenty of unsubstantiatable script ideas. Prometheus' writer did state in some interview out there that he believes the next film (sequel) might need "new blood" or a fresh set of eyes in the form of a different writer. I sure hope so!

Prometheus 2. We learn more about the infleunce of the engineers on the primitive civilisation of earth..... We learn that the engineers are capable of rebirthing themselves or through cell transdiferiation reverting themselves to a juvenile state. Thus adding weight and scope to ressurection myt and also immortality. Discover more links archaeological to the engineers. Shaw and David get closer to the engineers frontier. We learn that the black goo. Is a weapon against the xenos...somehow it makes xenos blood toxic to themselves... Strange things start to happen to david.... Shaw captures an engineer...

Also i'd like to evidence of decimation in the engineer frontier...perhaps david and shaw visit some engineer outpost, imagine them setting down on lyonnesse the lost city from tristran and isoldè...and seeing more devistation and finding another holographic part of the puzzle... whilst all the time your discovering and seeing the alien landscape temples...statues..Palaces.....architecture or even Atlantis descending into the depths...and seeing a city under the sea....

Without Lindelof writing any of the script or being anywhere near the production.

A dinner party on Paradise at which Shaw and David are present as honored guests with about 7 other influential Elder Engineers who know a lot about their history and can answer LOTS of questions. All of the dialogue is in Engineer. David’s head occasionally interprets for Shaw who is rather uncomfortable in her organic resin booster seat. The entrée consists of boiled facehugger stuffed with rice. The room is elegantly appointed with Geiger-esque furnishings and an Alien Queen head is mounted over the fireplace. To the left of the fireplace is the missing Ark of the Covenant and the Holy Grail sits beside a candelabra on the mantle. As some point someone brings up Atlantis and there's an uncomfortable pause in the otherwise jovial banter... It's all in 3D, of course!

Simple. Show what the original Engineers on LV-223 were running from. Show how whatever they were running from gets to the Home World and destroys them. This ties into how the Derelict on LV-426 got there (while heading back to the Home World).

Shambhala, that is a very nice write-up, I would love to see something like this in the sequel. The only thing that made me go "Hmmm" was that the star maps were a trap. I think of a trap as a device to capture (or kill) something that is not easily attainable- like a wild hog, for instance. But the Engineers don't need to trap us first to use us as cannon fodder for xenos, they can just send a Juggernaught and drop off their payload. If the goal is to detect a certain level of technological development and put a stop to it, why not just send an unmanned probe? Because what if we don't care to visit- and continue technological development unabated- becoming even more of a potential threat? I don't know, Ridley making the Space Jockey a large humanoid in a suit really killed it for me. Now if they do decide to make the sequel, I would like to see them go back to that idea. For example, the engineers *use* Space Jockey tech, but there is another, higher biomechanoid race overseeing them. This would save the original Space Jockey from being belittled by Ridley's silly man-in-suit fantasies and open up a lot more possibilities. That's another thing- whatever story they dream up for the sequel, drop it in this forum first so it can go through a few good thousand maulings before it's good enough to film. Because the minds on this forum are just coming up with all sorts of awesome shit.

First off...as humans explore outerspace maybe they do find relics of ancient aliens and NOT HUMANS. Colonists keep finding more stuff and at some point the military would have a highly trained group of scientists go from planet to planet trying to put the puzzle pieces together. Regardless of the Weyland corporations power, the space marines would ultimately be monitoring their progress. Now if they were to chase Shaw across the galaxy to the Alien home universe I would expect her to get there before they could catch up. By the time they get there she would have been assimilated into it's biomechanical matrix and the aliens very prepared for human contact on a completely biomorphic fractal planets and giant spacestation habitats like a Nanodelbrot Odyssey. Absolutely, no friggin xenos. They've been done to death, brought back and done to death again. They're not scary anymore and all the facehugging and chestbursting is boring & redundant.
