Mr.Yutani (Detective Hudson)
MemberOvomorphJun-12-2012 8:30 AMAlright I have gotten news that Mr.Scott has implied "Jesus" being an Engineer.
This was a stupid mistake.
The xenomorph should be.
I mean, it would make more sense. You set the damn thing up IN THE CRUCIFIX POSE and say "oh no, he's an Engineer." However, if it was the xeno the audience would get the hint easier DUE TO THAT FACT.
And, if they are trying to "cross new boundaries," than having the xeno be christ would definately be more provacative. I mean, which is more controversial?
A.) Other-worldly being who is peaceful
B.) Horrible beast who has high intelligence.
Personally, it is B. I've been known to be A little TOO controversial, but then again, ALIEN was very provacative in my sense.
Don't think he'd be worshipped? Read "Outbreak" in Aliens:omnibus Volume 1.
Also, when I say "xeno" I mean a VERY VERY Intelligent one. I mean almost HUMAN level. This is due to the fact of being bred from the perfect human (Mary)
Post thoughts
PS: Sorry if I seemed to harsh on my points. I was just very passionate about this post.

MemberDeaconJun-12-2012 8:37 AMI know where Ridley would be going with this movie...
But i dont think it would be that Jesus was a Space Jockey.... i mean come on the guy was not like 8-9ft tall..
I think maybe the Engineers created a Hybrid who is part Engineer and Part Human.....
Maybe how Shaw gave birth to the Squid....
Maybe it will be how some Female (Mary) gave birth to some hybrid, and this hybrid was then to be used as a messenger and envoy for the Engineers a bridge between the Engineers and Mankind...
But then we crucified that envoy....
Who knows, but if Ridley is going that route its very risky...

Very nice point.

MemberOvomorphJun-12-2012 10:45 AMI don't think Ridley Scott (per se) would happily go down the Christ was a Xeno-hybrid in a 'virgin womb' alleyway, that's too much, I think.
I hope.

MemberOvomorphJun-12-2012 4:52 PMIf this movie had anything to do with Jesus then it would be more probable
that the Xenos were fallen angels directing the Nephilim ( their offspring with daughters of men) to send a weaponized cargo of eggs to earth 2000 years ago to wipe him out.

MemberOvomorphJun-18-2012 4:18 AMThe Engineers would not just be 'angry' we killed their creation. They would want to wipe us out because they sent us a pure Savior and instead of listening and learning, we (like animals) killed him.
The Xenos are either the product of a very resilient species of life that would not die from the weaponized jar goo. The Engineers could not kill them because it acted like a virus and the DNA kept morphing and reproducing itself instead of totally breaking down. Remember the Xeno snakes swimming around in the stuff that is supposed to destroy them?
Or the Xenos are part of the Engineer's collection of world killing tools that got out of hand and killed most of the Engineers.
Or the Xenos are working as intended, but the Engineers could not get away in time. I doubt this is the case.
I lean toward the first two theories above.
So I do not think Christ will be a Xeno hybrid anything. I think it will turn out that the Engineers somehow impregnated the Virgin Mary and He was biologically embedded with knowledge and spiritual powers.
I believe when they reach the Engineers homeworld and find it in crisis and decay, that maybe she uses Christ's example and begins to save them
Then again, Christ may not end up being from the Engineers at all, but maybe there were Engineers monitoring the Earth at the time and saw what we did to Him and that triggered the 'Okay. These jokers are a hopeless cause. Send the wrecking crew and lets get to work rebuilding this hell hole'
I do not remember a movie that made me (and pretty much everyone I know who have seen it) think and imagine so much! I loved the film.
I compare people who did not like the film (because they were wanting another Alien blood bath) to the people who complained that the Soprano's hadn't had anyone 'get wacked' in a long time.

MemberOvomorphJun-18-2012 5:42 AMOkay...
two things.
1. Why do you think he would give away the plot of the sequel, when the current one is still in theatres? Did George Lucas tell you Darth Vader was Luke's father while the first Star Wars film was in the cinema?
Can you say "trollercoaster ride" - or trollmetheus"?
2. Hawai'in cave drawing 680 CE ...
just sayin'
