Either way it is three on three. I Like the whole tenticle thing, makes me think of the giant Squid from 20,000 leagues under the sea and that Disney song "a whale of a tale..."

MemberOvomorphMay-26-2012 1:03 PMGigers work actually has quite a bit of tentacle imagery in it...even some of the Alien designs have squid like tenticular appendages. I like something that isn't always Anthropomorphic in nature, like many of the other alien designs over the years....always two legs, two arms and a head. This "Big Thing" in Prometheus could be rather startling and lead to a darker, more horrifying area than Alien circa '79 ever dreamed of!!

MemberOvomorphMay-26-2012 1:10 PMI suspect that the hole in the Engineers chest is part of his particular design. I further speculate that SquidAlien impregnates him through the hole. The Engineer survives the attack. At some point returns to the launch bay and boards another ship. The exochair locks around him with the rib cage snapping into place over the hole. We'll see him launch and then have to set down on an adjacent moon due to illness. We won't directly see a connection to ALIEN, but it will be implied that this is what happened. The second launch will occur after we see someone rescue Shaw away from the planet in the lifeboat.
