Its going to be interesting because their seems a lot of Contradiction into what he says now and before. while what Ridley says is pretty much simular to what he has said before.

Well some comments by Lindelof are very very concerning this movie in a number of interviews. This one looks like he is hinting that if he sets the bar of the movie lower, then if its shite, its not gonna be as big disapointment. In others he jokes about, his role in changing the script for Cowboys vs Aliens may had been why it sucked. And even joked that he would rather be a part of this movie, the first Sci Fi Ridley has done in like 30 years and have it become a failure but he can put on his gravestone that he played a part in Ridleys first revisit into the Sci Fi Genre than not have nothing to do with it. He basically got Ridley to scrap most of Spaihts ideas and force his own on Ridley... Well lets hope Lindelof proves us wrong, as if he does not then the guy will be seen as a Cancer to movies as far as i may be concerned. I assumed what may happen and had a idea how to explain Alien in a scene set years prior like the Water Fall sequence that would have done the job and allowed to branch off in new area and close the door on Alien. It seems Lindelof will kick the door off its hinges and open a whole load of other doors... The thing thing is where does this movie go.... If the events of Shaws Baby or other things mutated by the Engineers Fire, lead to Prometheus 2 then we are going to be going down the route of a new Alien Creature Franchise or something like a toned down The Thing. How do we revist the Engineers, unless this one survives, or that crew can be turned into them.... How do we get to the point where most of Earth has little or no knowledge of the Xeno or Space Jockey in Alien Franchise.... Just as with the events of AVP, that lead it to be none canon... The only logically explanation would be to not follow Weyland, Shaw, or any Organisms in this movie. But to visit the Engineers in the past like at the time prior to the Hologram/Ghost scene or indeed supose that their are other Engineers out there in the Galaxy seeding other Humaniods and indeed Humans. Are we the only Humans in the Galaxy? did they seed us elsewhere.... This is the only way they can go, as to then avoid the whole Alien route in future movie.... Unless they are going for a reboot or non cannon

Hi BigDave, you've brought up many interesting points. I hope you're wrong about Lindelof too!! I'm hoping Sir Rid fights for an an outcome which he knows will please/interest/satisfy the fans of his original Alien. Only time will tell. "Right?" LOL
