With the build up for Prometheus, which we have all added to with endless theories I am worried about the answers (as well of the disappointment it will bring). When I saw The Lord Of the Rings all the faces and images in those books got overtaken by someone else's take on it. And many others (through Do Androids Dream... and Blade Runner do complement each other). So I wonder all these little answers to big questions I have - Who was the Jockey, why did the derelict set down/crash/arrive what was the hole in his chest... was it even a him... Why?What?Where?Who? When? Don't get me wrong I will be the first in line to see the film, but after all my little theories will be dispelled ...I trust Mr.Scott but...

Many peoples expectations are high, as though they view this film as the answer to all their questions and theories. To those people there will be disappointment, possibly even debunking. Personally I have a wait and see attitude - Prometheus is what it is, nothing more nothing less.

I think the slovenian review, if true, is very near the spot. It only takes an economic-oriented mind to anticipate Fox moves here: if they really want to milk this cow _ and the economic logic of the studios is to have brands to minimize risks _ then it would be obvious that Prometheus will left many open questions, that functions as doors to the sequels. So what I expect is: very good visuals, atonishing action, and a lot of unexplained things that will be like a string pulling us to see the next movie. I would be disappointed if the movie really is full of inconsistencies as the slovenian review suggests. The above description of the movie can be beautifully done without revolting inconsistencies; it would be a shame to Scott.

Yeah I agree with snorkelbottom, but I'm getting more moments now where I wish I wouldn't know this much, or at least feel like I do. A friend and die-hard ALIEN fan told me yesterday that he has managed to completely avoid anything regarding Prometheus and will continue to do so until he's got his ticket to see it on the 20th of June. Brave man, I'd say, I really envy him! But then again, I keep thinking how much have we really seen? Let it be compacted footage of maybe let's say 10 minutes at the most? Ok I personally don't read 'leaked scripts', but rather stick to the official material. The film is 124 min (effectively 119 or so without credits) and we've seen 8-10 minutes maybe. So there's plenty of room for big surprises!! More than enough, and I do trust Ridley that he's doing the right thing, he's no amateur.

well punx, my friend, unlike the Lord of The Rings, Prometheus is Sir Ridleys Scott new baby. He came up with Alien in the first place so it is his own vision in display. I wouldn't get so worried about it. Enjoy the movie dude. ,,/ + . + ,,/

I've done everything in my power to not form theories and to really enjoy the fact that for the first time in over a decade there is a film coming out that I know so little about! Seriously, when is the last time this happened? It's so thrilling to know that we have a new Ridley Scott sci-fi film coming into theaters in three weeks (2 for our friends across the pond)! I can't wait to see what ol' Ridley has in store for us, especially knowing that this is his return to the universe of "ALIEN" and his first time shooting in 3D - one of the only directors who I approve of shooting in the medium! I haven't posted here until today, but I've been reading various discussions and doing my best to avoid any spoilers! It's been awesome reading everyone's thoughts and knowing that I'm not the only person on this planet as geeked about it as I am! :)

With Ridley Scott back at the helm, I hope to see the thriller aspect shown for Prometheus, with the build-up of suspense that he had given us for the original Alien. I loved the shock value that the original had and I want to feel that again for Prometheus, but the ante doubled ten-fold.
