Corporate Timeline - Jun 23rd 2065, Sir Peter Weyland Memorial library opens
Quiet Eye - recorded on Apr 8 2079
Now where Im from...memorials are for dead people, whos she expecting to get an answer from.
ANd for the record I agree with Cain1977....I think its more interesting to view the viral as someone from Yutani hacking a private conversation and using the lie detector to extract information, which I believe leads to a Yutani spy making it aboard the mission. Has to be Vickers in my opinion...
Either way...after the events of this film, Yutani has enough intel to blackmail Weyland into merging. Yutani in my opinion is the dark sibling of the corporation and always has been

MemberOvomorphMay-16-2012 6:58 PMYutani has stake in this, perhaps being secretly....perhaps they want the organism for the military side, bio weapons where as Weyland, is wanting long life...

MemberOvomorphMay-16-2012 7:05 PMI agree...I think Vickers goes in thinking yeah this is unethical but knowledge is power ....not expecting the utter terror and carnage that awaits. I think she comes good in the end, even if she doesnt survive...but Yutani already has its intel, the wheels are set in motion

MemberOvomorphMay-16-2012 7:26 PMI think the quiet eye thing is a spyware type of thing also. It definitely throws another wrench in the gears doesn't it?
Shaw is so smart that they set up a whole interplanetary expedition on her theory but she can't even use the firewall or proper security features with internet explorer. Shame on her!

MemberOvomorphMay-16-2012 8:23 PMHas everyone seen the Quiet Eye viral video of Shaw's message to Weyland?
It collects information on the speaker. I still need to see it in a better definition to check out all the computer readouts.

MemberOvomorphMay-17-2012 3:43 AMThe timeline COULD make sense. I mean, everyone travels in stasis where there bodies are "frozen" until revived? Five year journeys in their sleep and all that? It would be perfectly reasonable if Peter Weyland, when he knew he was dying, were to have had himself put in stasis with instructions to revisve him when a "cure" was found. That would add to the surprise when everyone finds that Weyland is aboard, as opposed to dead.
It might sound far-fetched, but then a surprising number of people think Walt Disney is in liquid nitrogen somewhere...
