Yeah i hope what we have is just continuity problems.... I mean Ridley has dropped a few bo boos in his time, anyone remember Gladiators lol.... I think its the Big Guy, i mean he is Big and Balde, just apears to have shrunk by 2 feet in the new images we have got of him attacking Shaw.... I have looked at scenes of David in the Orrey room both in movie trailers and images released and also the onset images inc Shaw being there and compared their sizes to the whole area and area where the Chair comes from and the sarcophagus. Then the Engineer scenes in same room and it keeps giving me a size of about 9ft for the Engineer.... so from those scenes to the scenes with him near Shaw there is a inconsistancy of about 2ft.

@Danielfallz yea and this thing in the picture looks like its been burned, it looks completely different to the back of what i'm assuming is the engineer/space jockey. See the little bit at the top and look at the crew suit from the back, its the same. They both probably get hit with the flamethrower because i don't see how his suit completely changes in the transformation he goes through. @BigDave Maybe there's more then one in the movie, they could be different sizes and the suits do look similar.

i dont think thats fifield. i think its whoever gets their faceshield welded to them. it looks alot like the space suit has grown into the person in the front, from what we can see. the color/texture looks kinda like that foggy black color of the xeno when we first saw it in Alien. he's looking at it just like brett did to. dont get me wrong, i dont think this thing is a xeno, i just think there are going to be several creatures, and we'll be able to see something here and there that hints that it might be a predecessor.

None of SJs get in Prometheus. SJs are huge apprx. 3 meters or a bit more. This is the corridor scene. As we saw in trailers at start of this scene Shaw holds an axe and steps.. then this human size bald guy (whoever he is provided by power of suit -- mutated Weyland) grabs her and lifts while she still holds the axe and at the end of scene throws her to floor as seen in trailer he is a human size guy. That picture completes the sequnce.. SJ doesn't fit the height of Prometheus corridor also lifting Shaw can touches her head to roof lol weird things gonna happen

....@ BigDave What is this obsession about engineer size...lol....they obviously had to make him smaller....just to fit the story....how was he gonna move threw the hallways of the ship if he was like 15 ft tall..Ridley took a bit of artistic license....SFW!.....perhaps he grows or something...i mean the xeno in alien grew like eight feet tall in the matter of a day....I don't see why the size of the engineer is such a big deal?

Yea really how would they have a 15ft tall creature, ridley wanted minimal CGI imo so it had to be someone tallish dressed in a suit. He still looks way bigger then shaw in the scene as i think she's being held up a bit and he doesn't seem to be standing up fully, people are forgetting how big 7-8ft can be [img]http://i.imgur.com/VjDJG.jpg[/img]

Plus the suits are way bigger than the being or person that gets into them...in district-9 and avatar and also in Aliens that walking lifter thing was huge....yes perhaps those were robotic mech type suits....but what is biomechanical...in a nutshell it's the mixture of living tissue and robotics.... So why can't the suit be bigger than the person or being that decides to inhabit it.....plus i don't actually think you can get out of this suit once your in it.....I think it fuses with your body....but that bit is just pure speculation....

Naomi is, or claims to be 5'4. I think she is shorter then that. Dude looks like a monster next to her.

Yep my bad about the spelling ;) I am on about the scenes where some of the extras was wearing jeans in the movie a goof! "i dont think thats fifield. i think its whoever gets their faceshield welded to them" I am assuming and so not fact, that Fifield is the Face Melt guy, the scream is of a Male and Milburn is first to get the Snake Xeno treatment so i assume it then jumps from Milburns mouth when he is dead and at Ffield. We wont know for sure untill we see the movie. I do think the guy that is apoaching Mechanic 3 is Fifield just before he then kicks off and goes berserk and attacks the crew in the Hanger and again i have not seen the movie so could be wrong. @Juxtapose I have not problems with the difference in size from Alien, they said it was 15ft, i estimated it to be about 12ft but thats not fact and two Magazines on Prometheus have listed them as 7.9M which is near 25ft..... lol. No what i was on about is that it apears that the Jockey that attacks Shaw apears to be smaller in that scene than he does in the Orrey Room Shots. The Production staff and i think either Ridley or Landorf did say they was 9ft tall which does go with the size he looked in the Orrey Room and the Chair. But the one who grabs Shaw looks between 7-8 foot in one scene and only 7ft odd in the other before he apears to be burnt... Again who knows, and we just dont know if somehow a Holloway or Weyland turn into the guy that attacks Shaw, we wont know untill we seen the movie.

@ BigDave Fair enough.... just don't judge the movie based upon the size of the engineer....it's not a major detail IMO....i suppose it might be to some...but not me!

There's just too much evidence to incline me to believe that "blue guy" is not a "jockey". The corpses, the statues and the holograms all reveal the creature we're familiar with in both appearance and approximate size. This "blue guy" has to be something else. He could be an "engineer", a mutated crew member or an entirely unknown species. Size does matter in this case. Otherwise, the chair would have been made smaller this time around as well. While I wont disagree that SJs don't all have to be the same height (just as humans vary), there at least needs to be a reasonable scale. I just love the fact there's a debate. I hate trailers that reveal everything and hardly live you with any mysteries. Cobras, mutants, alien babies, explosions, panic.... *swoons*

Based on scale, yes this must be a mutated crew member... too small to be the real blue deal

Honestly guys i think the Engineers/SJ are closer to 7ft rather then 9, David goes up to there shoulders and fassbender is 6ft so you aren't gonna get 3ft on that. Look carefully at the clip you posted: David is standing up on the center of the orrery platform/chair platform/whatever it is. The holograms are apparently walking around on the floor of the chamber itself (which would make sense considering that's the level the control chair is on), around the perimeter of the platform. Thus David is actually higher up than they are. If he was standing on the same level as the holographic figures, he wouldn't come up their shoulder.

They don't look like there on the floor to me, to close in really. It seems stupid that one of the crew member just transforms into a engineer/space jockey, the thing that attacks shaw looks exactly the same as these.

Yeah, they're walking around on the floor level. I just took a closer look. Check out the legs of the space jockey on the left as he walks. You can see him passing [i]behind[/i] the "butt end" of one of the sarcophagi. To do that, he'd have to be walking on the floor..
