MemberOvomorphMay-10-2012 7:38 AM@Nox hey man with all due respect my brother you been here long enough to know this has been literately discussed until the hinges fell off the door, just saying bro.

MemberOvomorphMay-10-2012 7:39 AMyeah, thats been pointed out to death, and it still looks unidentifiable to me. the shading in some of the shots seemed to have been manipulated to hide certain things, like this, until someone got a pretty good shot of it a couple weeks ago.
search spoilers and David decapitated and youll find some others. certainly went unnoticed for a while, but i think the trickery came in the brightness of the picture in these scenes.

MemberOvomorphMay-10-2012 7:40 AMAh yes, the Kansas City Shuffle! Love Lucky Number Slevin. I think you could be right, too. Or at least, the answer may not be as obvious as it appears in that still.

MemberOvomorphMay-10-2012 7:42 AMAww, my attempt at trolling has failed miserably... Should have put a "I don't know if this has been discussed earlier, so I apologize", I am a n00b, sorry...
Anyway, I've seen higher resolution shots that show the hue of the space suit more prominently. Many old shots appear counfused and unidentifiable indeed, but HD stills show it clearly enough.
I just had to put the Kansas City Shuffle quote, though.
Please keep the flaming on!
*hugs*
Ridley Scott will eventually tell us how the Queen was born.
Right now we have the Deacon; coming soon the Mercury, the May and the Taylor.

MemberOvomorphMay-10-2012 7:45 AMIt's like a line from the movie The Avengers when Iron Man tells Cap America that Nick Fury's secrets have secrets, well this was done masterfully enough that someone would notice it and yet not know what it really is. Ridley you old dog you!

MemberOvomorphMay-10-2012 8:46 AMThat doesn't look much like a suit, to me - and the body that has been discussed is in a much different place than you have highlighted.
What you have highlighted, it very much looks like, to me, is the remaining, "foot", section of the sarcophogus that was there, and now, very obviously, is not - the, "lid", and remainder of that sarcophogus having, I presume, folded in on itself in some clickety-clackety, "future-technology", manner; or sunk into the floor; or flown into the sky; or dematerialized; or performed some other feats of most incredible and sensational witchcrafts: in order to, "open", before our very eyes..

MemberOvomorphMay-10-2012 9:03 AMOne question for all the good folks on the forum, what do you all plan on doing days after Prometheus comes out, haven't tought ahead that far my self.

MemberOvomorphMay-10-2012 9:06 AMYou're right, allinamberclad, my circle is way too big and includes mostly the sarcophagus. But there is a blue detail (my screenshot doesn't show it, but if you watch the HD version of the original trailer you can notice it) that is above the line of the sarcophagus and is partially covered not by the sarcophagus, but by one of the structural ribs of the platform (and the position seems to be consistent with what we see in the infamous shot of the allegedly beheaded David).

The world as we know it will end after Prometheus.
I really don't have anything else to look forward to. :(

Yes, that, is, indeed, the Infamous Stiff which has traumatised the entire forum already...

MemberDeaconMay-10-2012 9:40 AMlol search the spoilers then find xxxxxxx gives away the spoiler.
Dont take offence with that i was meaning no harm ;) But yeah once one spoiler is out you cant keep a lid on it unless you avoid the site. I could find a image that shows say Shaw chop off Holloways Head and keep it in a spoiler thread thats well done so those who wish to avoid it would not get spoilers.
But then that evidence would be made in other threads and not so well concealed as Spoiler.
As far as that image above and the scene....
Well it would show that what ever happened to that person.... happened before the Engineer raised the Pilot Chair. And not after.

MemberOvomorphMay-10-2012 9:50 AMIn the other shot we see the chair still being set up, and the blue guy taking his time, so I would assume it all happens before the chair is raised indeed.
I reckon the shot showing the floor opening for the chair to emerge is too narrow, but possibly, a wider shot could show the body on the floor.

On the left we see an open sarcophagous. The foot of the tomb is opened outwards and up, it's higher than the others

MemberOvomorphMay-13-2012 4:58 AMthe eyes get mislead very easily, yeah..
You actually SEE it , firstly, when you KNOW its there..

MemberOvomorphMay-13-2012 5:02 AMThat's the point, nobody has ever over-analysed that part because it was too confused and the most important detail was elsewhere.
But people have seen the most unimaginable things in every shot, so in the end we really missed it.
