I found this image at another site: Funny, yet previsible, that Ridleygrams would be back with Prometheus. The difference is that we now live in a very commercial era. I bet that Prometheus´s Ridleygrams will be marketed by a hefty price. And I´m not talking about the originals...

I don't understand what you're suggesting - why it would be, "funny"? Aren't they his storyboards? Isn't that like finding it, "funny", that a surgeon uses a scalpel at work? What do you mean?

@allinamberclad, I have heard that most directors use digital imagery softwares for drafting storyboards nowadays. To me it´s funny, in a good sense, to see Scott reverting to his old school ways at the same time he´s in the process of making a high-tech, post-industrial product like a big blockbuster.

Most directors have little artistic skill/powers of visualization and rely on programs and cinematographers to make their films look any good. Ridley is capable in all areas of visualization for film. He could probably be his own cinematographer if it was feasible on such a large production. He obviously approaches visuals with the eye of an illustrator or classical historical painter, like Jean Leon Gerome.

Ridley Scott, I have always said, miss his calling as a comic artist. I actually think his talent level is up there with Moebius when it comes to sequential artwork. But I am more a fan of comic books then movies so yeah.

If more comic book artists/illustrators/painters were filmmakers, we'd have better looking movies
