MemberOvomorphMay-01-2012 8:48 AMI voted Prometheus because it was slightly less underwhelming. I'm also a HUGE Batman fan.
I got 2 stickers from the TDKR viral campaign earlier today BTW woo : )

MemberOvomorphMay-01-2012 8:50 AMI always vote for Prometheus on this stuff, just feels right to do that, walk the walk instead of just talking the talk. ..and what the hell do you mean slightly less underwhelming...?...holy cow I did not expect to read That form You of all people.

MemberOvomorphMay-01-2012 9:07 AMI have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised to see that both trailers are currently neck and neck. Given TDKR's enormous following in the younger crowd I expected its trailer to pull ahead of Prometheus very early on. Let's see how it turns out at the end of the day.

MemberDeaconMay-01-2012 9:08 AMI have not been impressed with the Batman movie, i did like the Dark Knight and Batman Begins was ok... both dark versions of the Batman Franchise as opposed to the Comic like ones of the Other Movies and the 60's TV Series.
But i have never been a fan of Bane being a real Batman Villan, i guess the movie franchise is going more with realistic characters as opposed to the likes of the Penguin etc.
But they have taken Bane from being a Huge Beast of a Man to one thats not even as big as Batman.
Thank god they never worked on Prometheus as they may have had Warick Davies play the Space Jockey ;)
Na for me the new Batman movie has not got me very excited but thats just me, i am not sure i would go watch it i think i would wait to rent on DVD.

MemberOvomorphMay-01-2012 9:19 AMI have lost all interest in the batman movies. They just don't do anything for me anymore.

MemberOvomorphMay-01-2012 9:30 AMOf course I voted for Prometheus. I like Batman and so on, but the newest TDKR trailer just doesn't look appealing to me at all. Guess I'll never be able to see Hathaway as a good Catwoman. She's so average and typical to me. Also, Bane's voice in this one sounds crappy. Too fake and too loud.

MemberOvomorphMay-01-2012 9:36 AMI agree with Ruth on Catwoman
One day its "The Devil Wears Prada" the next days its Catwoman
Just NO WAY
Gonna have to vote Prometheus

MemberOvomorphMay-01-2012 9:53 AMI plan on waiting for the BluRay to come out for Batman. Having Anne Hathaway in this movie did it for me. Useless no talent and really not that good looking.

MemberOvomorphMay-01-2012 9:57 AMPrometheus all the way!! What I can't understand is why the votes are at 50/50% even split! To quote David: "clearly a superior trailer"!!

MemberOvomorphMay-01-2012 10:05 AM@ Dopelganger that's right Charlize Theron would make a far better Catwoman any day, she's got the right assets if you know what I mean.

MemberOvomorphMay-01-2012 10:10 AMI voted for Prometheus. Baiscally I see it as Prometheus vs just another movie. I am biased because I don't think I will ever again anticipate a movie as much.
As good as the TDKR trailer is, it's just another comic superhero movie (YAWN...). Strangely enough, I have to suspend my disbelief for Batman more than Prometheus.
Ridley Scott will eventually tell us how the Queen was born.
Right now we have the Deacon; coming soon the Mercury, the May and the Taylor.
Ruth
MemberOvomorphMay-01-2012 10:10 AMMarion Cotillard was meant to be a Catwoman. But...
Charlize also would have been a better choice than Hathaway.

MemberOvomorphMay-01-2012 10:20 AMBoth of the New Trailers for Prometheus and The Dark Knight Rises that came out yesturday and on the 29th look badass! But I vote Prometheus because I am much more excited for that film to come out this summer. Im an Alien fanatic too so case and point there.

MemberDeaconMay-01-2012 10:33 AMFor me i know while Batman Dark Knight series is trying to get away from the comic aspect and bring a more darker element to Batman, hence the differences in Joker from the TV Series and 1989 Batman compared to the more sinister one in the Dark Knight.
But for me the Actor who plays Bane should had been used to play a new Mr Freeze, i think going for a Mr Freeze character but making him Darker like they did with Joker could worked great.
For me Bane just is not Bane, and then Bane to me was never really a main Villan, its more like a henchman like say a Tri-Klops is to Skeletor.
Also Bane in comics and game is Huge, this Bane in this movie is smaller.
They could have used Kane from WWE instead his size would have suited a Bane more better ;)

MemberOvomorphMay-01-2012 10:40 AMi have read the breaking of batman comic and the alternate universe it created once bain broke batmans back....i seriously doubt the film can top that.....i love Nolans work i really do the dark knight is agruably one of the best films of its genre but for some reason dark knight rises looks very lame to me ....i know i will and i already have caught a lot of back lash for this comment and i will see it but its not going to be as good as dark knight or prometheus!!!!

MemberOvomorphMay-01-2012 11:23 AMPrometheus has my vote, didnt even need to consider The Dark Knight Rises because I cant remember what even happened in the trailer, and I saw it this morning. Prometheus is no doubt, the most exciting film of the year ! I honestly believe that The Dark Knight wasnt a good film, and is massively over-hyped. Anyone I ask if they thought The Dark Knight was good, 95% of their answer is because they enjoyed watching the Joker, nothing esle is good about it in my opinion, Batman's character is hugely undeveloped. Which was a real shame because Batman Begins was awesome !
Im getting bored of watching Gotham being blow up now, We're witnessing with Prometheus a real experience that will go down in history ! 30 years since any science fiction from Sir Ridley, that anticipation is hugely greater then a follow up to a dissappointing film made 4 years earlier, and in that time Christopher Nolan made his best film Inception ! So I cant get myself excitied about The Dark Knight Rises much. Im 20 years old, and I wish more of the younger generation would embrace Prometheus more ! Otherwise they're missing out big time.

MemberOvomorphMay-01-2012 11:52 AMWow...I never thought I'd be just COMPLETELY unmoved by TDKR, but I am. I couldn't care less about that movie, although I'm sure I'll rent it when it comes out.
Then again, I'm just not a comic book "fanboy" that gets off on all this superhero nonsense.
I'm shocked that Prometheus isn't just blowing it out of the water, simply because its trailer is millions of degrees better and more exciting than TDKR trailer.
I'm guessing that that site mostly has comic book/superhero fans over "Sci Fi Horror" types.

MemberOvomorphMay-01-2012 1:09 PMIf TDKR was released any other time i might of been more hyped about it. However Prometheus in all its marketing glory is far overshadowing it.
It just feels so small in comparison. The new trailer was good but not nearly as memorable as Prometheus. The 'very popular' squreaming siren sound notably at the end of each Prometheus trailer is now EMBEDDED so deeply in my subconcious i think i dream about it.
When i watch the trailers of Prometheus, no matter which version, no matter how many freaken times i watch those damn things I always get 'shivers' of excitement. Presumably by the terror i am foreseeing to witness.
Im sure TDKR will be a good movie, Christopher Nolan is a very talented skilled director. But Batman is mortal in comparison while Prometheus is epic and Godlike.

MemberOvomorphMay-01-2012 1:13 PMDark Knight is a watch at home movie to me. I won't miss anything by watching it on TV.
Prometheus is a theatre movie. I hate theatres but I actually want to see it. It isn't something I will put on in passing to fill space while I am cleaning my house.

MemberOvomorphMay-02-2012 9:29 AMI am also looking forward to the new Batman movie, but simply from a trailer perspective, the Prometheus trailer wins hands down.
