I think we have been knowing that for a while. Personally, I'm ok with it not directly telling us the story, and just leading us in the right direction to do the math in our heads. Like you said though, possibly Pro II might better explain it.

Even if they do show it I doubt Ridley would put in a trailer. Thats the single most important answer most of us diehards are trying to find out IMO. I am sure Ridley will touch down on it somewhere in the movie or we may pick it up in hints. Heck, Ridley may not touch on it til a later sequel. In Ridleys first interview in regards to prometheus he mentioned how everyone always asked who the space jockey was and what he was all about. I am sure we will find out.

there are so many options still available to us i dont think sir ripley will disappoint......what we see on LV426 may not be the same ship we see here in prometheus or from the trailers we only see one croisant ship when they could be more who is to say. i dont think we are going to get the direct this is who the jockey got infected etc etc but there will be something..

I believe RS will give us a pretty good clue as to the what and why of our friend on LV-426. RS is a director that is dead-set against "spoon-feeding" his audiences. He believes that the audience should do some of the work and figure out things for themselves, but, at the same time certain things are intentionally relegated into that "cloud of mystery". I see questions being answered, but new ones being opened. At least, I hope.

Nice! I've been waiting for that game, it does look good. I still think AVP II as the Marine (while playing at night in the dark silence) is the scariest game of al ltime.

If I remember correctly didnt they say this film would be the prequel to the prequel of the alien film ?

Myself well yes there was some Questions from Alien they was. 1) Who was the Space Jockey (we will find out!) 2) Whats the Derelict Ship and its purpose (we will find some answers). 3) Why did it have Eggs on it (maybe we will find out) 4) Where was it going (maybe we will find out) 5) How was the Xeno created and why (maybe we will find out) 6) How did it end up on LV426 (maybe we will find out) This movie is about the Space Jockeys as far as LV426, the Xenos etc i think we will get a explanation maybe not in great deal but enough to give us more closure on the above 6 questions we would have had after Alien. Myself i think the Xeno would have been created before the events of Prometheus by reading into all of Ridleys comments. The only definates i think we will find out is that the big skeleton in the Chair is actually a big humaniod in a Space Suit. The Derelicts have one major difference and thats that the Alien one has 0 Sarcophagus, if Ridley was intending for the Derelict in this movie to be the one that lands on LV426 then how does he explain what happened to the Sarcophagus as well as how the Eggs got there/created.

@ kalhava: I don't feel what we've seen is anything to be upset about. After all, this movie is an introduction to a universe every Alien fan knows...This film is another view of that universe. As Ridley has said the Xenomorph is a concept that is tried and true..The Xeno is an attraction at a theme park. What we have here is a new vision of what was and what is...the Alien universe. I'm like so many on here and in the sci-fi community in general who await the king's return to the throne. Long Live Sir Ridley Scott!!
