I've been wondering why we never see a single plant on LV-426,223

If even half of the stuff that being uncovered is relevant, the sheer depth of this Story will be just insane...

"For household use, it is recommended to store bio-replicator pods outside the home." That's a bit jarring to me. I mean, let's say I want to grow some tomatoes in the thing...why store it outside? I mean, I've got dozens of harmless seedlings for my garden sprouting right in my kitchen at the moment... That quote makes it sound like there's the potential to seed something that grows way too quickly. Imagine if the crew sticks some kind of plant-based life from one of the urns in the bio-replicator pod. Venus fly-trap of doom, anyone?

Wow... Two more NEW ITEMS that have just been recently added to the OFFICIAL TIMELINE that were not originally in it. Geez, there are like a million possible layers to this thing now. The production keeps revising and adding new elements into the timeline as we go. Very interesting.... and yet completely cheezy writing. This Bio-Replicator thing sounds completely STAR TREKKY. Something like that for home use? That kind of tech is simply a disaster waiting to happen.

Fascinating. I do believe the entire Prometheus story and all of the plot elements are interwoven into the Weyland Industries.com website. The clues and answers are there, in plain sight, it all just has to be decoded. And after viewing the film we will go back to the site and say "why didn't I see that?"

@Necrofan, Yeah, that's what I like about this whole film. So much to ponder beyond, "Hey, here's a trailer, here's the release date, now go buy a ticket!" I'm sure other films have been marketed in such a detailed way, but I just haven't paid that much attention to it. There aren't really a lot of movies that get me excited enough to go looking. Probably the last movie that truly did was Donnie Darko, and the amount of viral info about that film was like a mote of dust compared to Prometheus. What will be really cool is if there's a sequel to Prometheus, RS and co. already have the Weyland website set up, so they can easily drop little tidbits of information over the course of several years--especially for Weyland "investors". Imagine getting an investor email a year and a half from now. Can you imagine the frenzy? I just can't get over how cool it's been over the last few months. When I joined the site here, we had about 190 days to go...six months! Now it's a mere 42 days. I have never in my life followed a movie this closely for so long prior to its release.

BIO-REPLICATOR POD.... Sound maybe like what the Engineers Urns are, only they are not plant life but actual Living Organic Lifeforms.

Without bacteria life would cease to exist on earth and it took hundreds of millions of years for earth to get to that point. 21% oxygen is required for us to live and thanks to bacteria that is all possible. Perhaps terraforming is a temporary climatiser til enough bacteria or lifeforms are present to take over. Obviously, the faster the bacteria/lifeforms grow the faster the terraforming units can come off line. What kind of bacteria, mutations, indigenous life forms, etc etc is really what this is all about. Xenomorphs to my knowledge dont require oxygen to survive hence their survival on the deralict space ship on LV-426 from Alien or perhaps they were on lifesupport from the engine at that point but judging by the ships damage and how long it was there I dont find that very believable.
