i posted a while back about my geeky alien action figures and got a lot of cool replies :) i just got a patch form overseas in the mail today with a NOSTROMO uniform badge. the inside blue is off and much darker but it was half the price of one that had the correct color and i didnt have enough in my paypal at the time for the fancy one sooo..... no brainer for cheep ol me, lol. it isnt too far off for being cheep and it feels pretty well made for the price. since i already posted about action figures i wondered if anyone had some other alien type merch and would like to share with us? now i need to go through my closet and find the right shirt of jacket for this patch *sigh* decisions decisions.

Great post and purchase belladonna! Would you mind including a link to your other, original post? I'd love to have a look around but couldn't find it right away. As for myself I'm the lucky owner of an 'orginal' Nostromo crew jacket. Original, as it is exactly the same British pilot's jacket used as a base in the Alien's props/costume department. A dear friend of mine then ordered the set of original patches and the Nostromo text for the back, applied them with love and passion, to then surprise me with it for my birthday. Unfortunately I 'grew out of it' a bit so I haven't got any recent pics. I guess I could take a few shots of it on its own. Will I manage to 'grow back into it' in time for the premiere?? Ha-ha, we'll see... Furthermore, I'm also a proud owner of a few model kits from Halcyon which includes the Nostromo, Narcissus, two Dropships, the Power Loader and the Sulaco. I could kick my own ass that I didn't go the extra mile and purchased the SJ, too. I had spent a fortune on that about 15 years ago but I don't regret it. A shame though that the company (Halcyon) went out of business a few years after. Hopefully, we will get collectibles of that same quality after the release of Prometheus, keeping fingers crossed.

Yes, I'd like to see your action figures. I remember a real cool Kane 12"with multiple helmets and face-hugger. Not sure if they'd made an Ash one with removable head. Speaking of Ash...... Did anyone notice what Ash goes for first when coming out of hypersleep at the bfst table? I thought it was a cute nod/hint to see him diving for the milk jug.

@belladonna: wow, that looks all pretty costly. But then u turn the penny on a patch?? ;) I'll see what I can do regarding pics of my collection. As I'm not exactly a star photographer I didn't bother yet to upload, rather embarrassing. Anyway, cheers for the links!

Do those of you who collect figures, models and such, display your things somewhere in your house? I have some, but haven't displayed them, because without the stupid packaging, they're relatively worthless to other collectors.......and It makes the room look like a toy store when they're displayed "in the original wrapper." Boxed products can be removed, but anything in a blister-pack?.......not really. I don't know if I'll ever sell what I've collected, but like to keep my options open.

@Freeze Him! It's a good one. They made life-size, fully detailed Predators as well.....but none of them are as cool as this, IMO: http://www.hammacher.com/Product/10921

@Freeze Him!: Cheers for the link, it goes straight to the UK version, clever! @artyoh: Thanks so much for sharing, that's a great link. I'm really am obsessed with the Nostromo and I'm gutted that my model is in such bad shape (far too big resin parts, deformed over time). Maybe one day I'll get to it and restore it. Just like the guys from PropStore did with the original filming model. I'm sure you have all seen this. Well, if not, do have a look here and if you happen to be in the L.A area, give them a visit! ...as for great models, and in case you've got plenty of extra cash, it's always good to check Hot Toys every now and then. Enjoy.

now thats a big toy!!! @ HAL i collected these guys since i was a kid, we were poor folk so i got to get one toy a week and i started picking out these guys. it took a while. i got the big queen in an antique store in new mexico for 20 bucks still in the box, i only take her out for pictures. id like to start getting them all over again still in the package so i can nail them up on the wall with my other figures. @artyoh sometimes if i need room i put the figures in a large storage bin in my closet but i try to keep them out on display. i recently moved so im going to put some shelves up on my walls in my bedroom and display all of them more neatly. i had the flying queen in her original packaging but during one very hot day the seal on the plastic bubble peeled off and she flew right out onto the floor from the wall. scared the crap out of me, guess she wanted out! we all know how hard it is to contain a xeno queen.

As a model kit builder , l`m always on the look out for a per -order Prometheus ship

HAL 9000

@ncc1701: good to know there are people on the lookout, I assume you haven't found anything yet? I'm worried that NECA will be the only decent stuff available, and apart from that we'll only get the crap ready-made, pre-painted polythureane models of RT-01's, etc.

NCC 1701

Veteran MemberMemberOvomorphApr-23-2012 7:55 PM
LOL ,,,I just search it now , i hear you about the deatail of the model itself i wish polar lights would get the contract to sell it , but i would be happy with ATM

HAL 9000

MemberOvomorphApr-23-2012 8:04 PM
LOL, I can see the RT-01 released by PlayMobil or LEGO, in my wildest nightmares... ncc1701, you sure do know the old Halcyon models? I was mad enough to rebuild the interior + lighting for the Halcyon Aliens APC including the sliding door to be.. well... slideable. Had hardly any friends left after that, took me bloody months! haha Will go and have a look at Polar Lights now, never heard of it so far. But yeah, I'd go with AMT... or did you actually mean ATM?? I believe that's where you have to go first, before your purchase :D

ya ATM,,,,, ( l`m watching hockey at the same time ) The build l`m doing now is the Narcissus from Halcyon , just setting up led lights...... my wife just loves the dust collectors ...

HAL 9000

MemberOvomorphApr-23-2012 8:52 PM
Damn, my one is already done and dusted, too late to get LED's in. Honest, they just look better with a bit of dust and nicotine, far more real! Really should upload some decent pics of the models, would be nice to see some of ur's, too at some point.

NCC 1701

Veteran MemberMemberOvomorphApr-23-2012 9:15 PM
