After dozens of threads about countless speculations, analyses and theories about anybody turning into anything, here's something completely frivolous and totally irrelevant to the plot! There have been discussions about different space suits, Fifield's stunning shirt, haircut and tattoos, Holloway's neckerchief, Rapace's and Scott's coats, Shaw's underwear, Milburn's hoodie, David's hair, etc. What about footwear? Not much importance has been given to footwear in Prometheus so far! Apart from the obvious spacesuit boots, what else do we see? Medical slippers, quite appropriate Then just some unclear shots or boots/shoes here and there (i.e. Janek standing at his control panel, or Vickers running through the corridors). But those who impressed me most are: Holloway with flip-flops (!) Vicker's corporate shoes (which I find quite ugly and awkward, though I reckon the whole suit could have been designed to keep a low profile on Theron's stunning figure). Any other thoughts?
LOL who the hell wears flip flops to a formal presentation!? did he just come from a drum circle?
On thing my wife has taught me, when discussing footwear you can't ignore bags. Take a look again at the stills released so far and the various trailers and you will see a wonderful gold coloured shopper being carried by David. Have a look, you'll see it many times. What's in the bag, David ? Come on, David, what's in the bag ??? Sjacko ( needing morecaffeine ) ( well, posting on here beats the mind numbing problems I'm having to look at for the IT systems I support ... )
The future looks real comfy! And the flip-flops have also lessened the more annoying aspects of scarf-boy. LOL
@ Belladonna, Heh! Guys still wear flip-flops in 2...., whenever the film takes place? Damn dirty hippies! I'll be rooting for his evisceration now.
And what about Vickers' shoes? Come on ladies! Your opinions?
im not sure, id have to get more angles on vickers' shoes. she isnt wearing socks with them.... ewwwww
I'd think Weyland would have their own brand of sneakers, but they must have been too busy designing those awesome chairs.
Maybe she wears invisible socks or flesh-coloured stockings (and here I go ewwww).
she isnt wearing socks with them.... ewwwww
Some auction hunters will be salivating at this right about now!
Not as much as Shaw's underwear, should it ever go on auction, I daresay.
I'm glad somebody posted the flip-flop picture. That has bothered me as much as his damn neckerchief and petal-pushers. What the hell kind of get-up is that for space and for a presentation? Maybe this is a female-thang, but I wonder what guys think about Holloway's little outfit.
lol Gehirn. and i dont think so @ NoXWord..... lets just say i have some experience with those types of auctions and there seems to be a lot more feet people then panty people, at least in the U.S. i dont think i should say anything else hehehe :X
I don't like Holloway's outfit. His character seems to be the one who has to be hated by the audience, with his attitude, style and body language. But if it is the scope, then it is well enacted. I would compare Holloway to Lt. Gorman. It's some counterweight to Shaw, but not as important. Too much insight though, let's focus on shoes! I am a guy and I hate flip-flops unless it's on the beach, swimming pool or at home.
Agreed! It's as if they want us to hate him! Mission accomplished, Scott and costume folks.
i bet he smells like patchouli and pot.
Vickers shoes look like the boots David Chappelle was wearing in his Rick James skit.
lol! It's funny that in the first picture there's a big head on that examination table and all I'm thinking is, "We're still wearing crocs that far into the future?"
