MemberOvomorphMar-29-2012 8:50 AMI really like your work man.
But concerning that, I think it's one of the oldest thing published on the net... :)
6months ago maybe... I think that's why you didn't see it :D
To me, it was a suit...

MemberOvomorphMar-29-2012 8:51 AMThanks for the brighter image - guess that is the head that we later see in the ship being scanned.

MemberOvomorphMar-29-2012 8:52 AMThe news is from November 30th exactly... :)

MemberOvomorphMar-29-2012 8:56 AMYou have a new mission.........find a Xenomorph in those shadows lol.
CanadaPhil
MemberOvomorphMar-29-2012 8:56 AMNice.. Yes that has to be when they find the decapitated head that they examine.
So this is obviously a fairly FRESH kill?
What could have killed it by slicing its head off... Was it an 'execution'??
It clearly shows the overall scale as well. Using the 2 people, it appears to much bigger than 12 ft. in height.. At least 14 ish?
And is that more suit or more exoskeltal type of body?? cool.

MemberOvomorphMar-29-2012 8:56 AMOk, sorry if it's old ... I only just came across it ... I'm slacking lol ...
I suppose the big question is ... who killed HIM? ... maybe the Jockeys aint fighters? ...
CanadaPhil
MemberOvomorphMar-29-2012 8:58 AMFurther... hmmm... so this is obviously the "UNcivilized" behavior they stummble upon.
Are the Jockey's actually the MASTERS or the SERVANTS???
or neither??
CanadaPhil
MemberOvomorphMar-29-2012 8:59 AMNot old to me Gem

MemberOvomorphMar-29-2012 9:24 AMI read somewhere (I already told this on this forum) that they were two castes of SJ.
One who tends to serve the other which is noble, but also taller, more intelligent etc...
I also read that SJ are great conquerors and stuff like that. "Feelings" are clearly not a priority (if they have something that we could call feelings...).
I can't even find the reference anymore, sorry I haven't any link to post :/

MemberOvomorphMar-29-2012 9:30 AMGreat picture.
If you look at that dead Space Jockey above, it has the same rib-chest structure from the original Alien movie. That's strange because according to the trailer the rib structure is just part of a suit-right and is seen opening up in the trailer as the Space Jockey is sitting down in gun/telescope.
Something is not adding up according to the space jockey suit claim (which has concrete evidence). This is what we can ascertain:
1.) The original Space Jockey-it seems that the entire space jockey, head and ribbed-chest, was organic-not a suit. That was bone right? It didn't look like a suit at all.
2.) The dead Space Jockey above picture aligns with the original Alien more than the alive Space Jockey in the trailer when it's sitting down on the gun/telescope and the rib cage is obviously opening and is not organic.
These two Space Jockey (the dead and alive one) are very different. Is this a logical conclusion? Anyone? Two different species of Space Jockeys? Or once the creature sits in the gun/telescope a metamorphosis occurs that creates the creature above.

MemberOvomorphMar-29-2012 11:32 AMI totally agree. I've seen this pic before but never saw it in such detail. It does have very close anatomy to the original Alien creature with the hips, legs and ribs. SO does the SJ stay bioformed to the suit and it becomes one with it even out of the chair or is this a precursor to the actual alien? Very exciting!!!
Corey
MemberOvomorphMar-29-2012 12:04 PMPerhaps this biosuit merges with the being that is wearing it. Perhaps whatever was born from the Space Jockey in Alien, is the precursor for the Xeno. It has hyprid DNA formed from whatever was in the biosuit, the largeness of these Space Jockeys, and crossed with Human makes Xeno? That is why the Zeno has five fingers and two legs. It's head more resembles the biosuit. Maybe.

MemberOvomorphMar-29-2012 12:33 PM"That is why the Zeno has five fingers and two legs. It's head more resembles the biosuit. Maybe."
Possibly the same chemical composition? I mean aren't they Gods?
Biehn_Bandit
MemberOvomorphMar-29-2012 1:39 PMDon't forget the "mural" from the trailer implying that the Xeno already exists.
But I"m thinking there is/was some kind of warfare going on between the bald human-like Gods, and the more alien Engineers, with the Engineers losing it looks like.
Corey
MemberOvomorphMar-29-2012 1:58 PM@Heustess
Well I'm sure they believe themselves to be gods. In our society, we almost regard Doctors to be like gods because they can save lives. These beings are so far advanced from our race that they have probably harnessed the power to create life artificially, and in effect, when we arrive at this world and discover this power, we try to take it. And they regard us a puny creations who do not deserve such power.
@Biehn_Bandit
You are right, I totally forgot about the mural. Perhaps, they created the Xeno life form before, and maybe they were modifying it somehow? Making it "the perfect life form." But they needed humans to make them perfect. After all, we did receive "an invitation."
Corey
MemberOvomorphMar-29-2012 2:22 PMI just posted this in another thread, but here's a thought: According to the mural, maybe the Space Jockeys revered the Xenos as Gods, and perhaps the Space Jockeys were trying to bring their Gods to life. Maybe they finally figured out how to do it, and when we get there, thinking that we had been invited, we find out how wrong we were. We meet a very uncivilized race that weren't opening their arms to us, rather waiting for our arrival so that they could experiment with us, in hopes that we were the right combination to bring their Gods back.

MemberDeaconMar-29-2012 2:25 PMA Very Interesting find....
Maybe Dead or maybe the suit?
This Jockey may apear bigger because its in the foreground? Then again if that thing they are examing is the head which it looks like then indeed this would put this Space Jockey at being Simular size to the one in Alien.
And Larger than what potentally could be one that confronts Shaw while she is on the floor in one Scene.

MemberOvomorphMar-29-2012 7:57 PMI have a probably a stupid SJ related question, but Im still pretty new here and to viewing the trailers and various stills, but I am confused about something...
I just took a look at some of the stills in the MEDIA section of the site (tab at upper right of page next to COMMUNITY)
There is a clear still showing Shaw in the corridor which I take to be inside one of the boom appendages of a Jockey Ship leading to the main chamber and there are 2 JOCKEYS STANDING BEHIND HER TO HER LEFT!!!
What the heck is that? Or those sentries? guards? just EMPTY SUITS ???
What the heck. And their overall scale seems very wrong using the top of the curved bulkhead in relation to the top of Shaws head as a guide.
Curious as to what this depicts.
CanadaPhil
MemberOvomorphMar-29-2012 7:58 PMOh geez... Lolz!
I just realized that same pic in a smaller version is used for the "Talk Prometheus" tab..
But still... What is this pic showing??
Biehn_Bandit
MemberOvomorphMar-29-2012 8:06 PMA murdered Space Jockey. But murdered by what? Nothing we've seen in the trailers, unless the blue bald guys are a different race and they can tear heads off or have edged weapons
Or just a statue that fell over and lost its head.
CanadaPhil
MemberOvomorphMar-29-2012 8:15 PMWell, that Jockey head on the examining table (without helmet!) appears to be cleanly cut.
It would be interesting to see these "Blue Meanies" in action. If they can kill a 12-14 ft. SJ without too much effort, they must be extremely brutal.
