recently rewatched the Road Warrior... couldn't help note the intro (montage of scenes of escalating violence culminating in the spread of warfare and ultimately leading to scenes from Mad Max) and how well the Fallout 1 & 2 teams recreated the feel. so props to those folks! the opening narration over this imagery is a tone setting masterwork. i dearly hope the new movies do not neglect this arena.
not really sure if the culture realm was the proper placement for this thread... but it started talking of a game inspired by the film... instant culture!
I agree with you Diplomat! Bethesda's Fall Out games are very much honorable of the Mad Max movies, even including a random character 'The Mysterious Stranger' which looks in everyway to be Max in his Road Warrior gear, and he's got Dog with him! I know Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas have the 'Mysterious Stranger' set as a perk you can add to your character stats. As for my character in the last two games, I like to make mine look like an old Wolverine! : P
I would take a MM apocalypse over a zombie apocalypse any day!
an obscure post because you have never played the game they are talking about >:)
You are a grouchy drunk, Bella. No more whiskey for you ;)
