Just announced on their Facebook page. The high-end toy collectible company "Hot Toys" (based in Hong Kong) will be releasing figures (likely 1/6 scale) from the movie. Release date has yet to be announced. This is GREAT news for us toy collectors. HT's (Hot Toys) treatment of the previous Aliens and predator movies has been pretty good. Hopefully their take on Prometheus characters/aliens is even better. Below is a link to the facebook page/image with the announcement. (Its only an image of the announcement via a scan of a catalog page that says "Prometheus".) Can't wait, I have the very first Original prototype of the ALIEN doll from Irwin Toy. Got it at a toy show in NYC in 1978 I think it was and just weeks before "Alien" was released. My dad who was in charge of Sales for Irwin Toy in North America at that time took me into their showroom, called me over to a table, held it up for me to see, pulled out the dolls Jaw, and looked at me and said these words... "This is gonna be Huge" !!! Like I have said a few times here I do not think even he realised at that time just how right he was going to turn out to be about it all.

Yes, we'll be watching this news very closely. Hot Toys does have an amazing reputation with regards to their previous Aliens / Predator collectables. Can't wait to see what they have in mind for Prometheus! Thanks for posting!

Kind of guessed this would happen, pleased about it but I guess the figures will be £100 plus and just WAY out of my price range..bet they look good though. Be nice to see a re-release of some of the past characters, especially the Marine's 12" figures, always wanted one but just can't afford them.

Glad to see some fellow toy collector's on the board! Its true that the figures will be expensive. I estimate at least $160 USD, but anywhere as high as $270 USD depending on the size of the figure. I can say that most of the time they ARE worth the retail value, but i can see why $160 toys can be out of people's budget. I for one am very excited at the possibility of having a high-end Spacey Jockey figure.

I'd love to own a tiny Egg/Chest-Burster model/or other type of kit.

A video game...a really really well made video game for the PS3 and XBox would be a nice addition as well. I have never seen one, not even one, really well made Alien Franchise video game, they all sucked. & I played 'em all. I want #1- for it NOT to be first person only but have the option for 3rd as well like the original SOCOM did. #2- For the story line to follow the films but also have lots of bonus replay value like the new Batman video game does. #3- For the atmosphere and sound of the film and the sound and atmosphere of the game to be identicle. That's all. LOL.

Has anyone other than myself ever played or just downloaded and watched... Justin Fishers very famous "Alien TotalConversion {"TC"} wad file for the game Doom? many years ago when it first came out I would spend hours letting it just run in demo mode like a screen saver on my PC...if you haven't seen it I just checked and the files are easily re-aquired for free today to do it, I just did, and it is so awesome to see those images again.

Here is the Doll My Father first introduced to me at a Toy Show in NYC in 1979 Very 1st Alien Protoype Doll Kenner is a subsiduary of the Company My Father worked for in 1979 and is Owned by that company... IRWIN TOY. You can see for yourself how amazing this thing is. If you click on the JAW icon at the bottom left of the page you can see the mouth from this thing up close. You could also slide it out and back in like for real and it looks very real.

Sick! I want one! I used to have quite a few Alien toys back in the day. My 2 faves were the Alien Queen with wings that flapped when you press a button on the back and the Gorilla Alien that had a hollow rubber head that you could to suck up water and spit "acid".

I could not believe that about 5-6 weeks after the Toy Show, the movie came out, and it was every bit as exciting to me as the actual Alien Doll was, even more so. That Freaked me out even back then simply because most toys designed from characters in films never worked well or were "off" in some way, but this one was "spot on". And usually the Film would come out first and IF it became popular then came the toys, but for this one the merchandising machine was already running, weeks before the films release. You cannot see it perfectly in that picture, almost, but the jaw on that thing actually came out even further.
