Found a few things over at [url=http://jasianinvasion.blogspot.com.au/]Jason Hazelroth's blog[/url] Jason has contacted me back and does not have anything to do with the production , he's just a huge fan with some cool concept ideas, his blog is well worth a look though ;-) Feast your eyes on this stuff!! Art is amazing! My concern - looks too much like Iron Man. What made ROBO was he looks truly mechanical and manmade. This looks too much like something from Stark Industries. Now if there is going to be a crossover considering that Samuel Jackson is in this movie, then maybe but somehow the design must stay away from Iron Man look. I was there when ROBO opened and it was an amazing movie especially the first person perspective from ROBO's eyes.

Don't get me started on the lightsaber thing. I do kinda have an issue with how fluid it makes him seem, Robo WAS always clunky and mechanical but it just seemed right for the character........................ And Peter Weller did an amazing job with the movement in the original.........................

Granted. The suit is [i]hawt[/i]. But if I'm not mistaken, the cycle escaped from TRON... Not my kind of film, [i]per se[/i], but I'm sure it will be pretty.

Interesting stuff, very streamlined too. I remember reading a Paul Verhoeven interview where he said during pre-production of RoboCop the suit that was eventually used in the movie was briefly discarded in favour of one that was influenced by Japanese comic books before itself being scrapped when they returned to the original idea which we see on the screen. It strikes me that this concept art has a slight Japanese influence too.

Some of these concepts remind me too much of Metal Gear Solid. If ED209 ends up looking like Metal Gear Rex from the MGS game saga I swear to Zenu someone is gonna pay the price. The artwork that shows Robocop with a sword reminds me of Raiden a little bit, the suit concepts remind me of Greyfox's cyber suit and the ED209 concepts remind me of MG-REX.
