20th Century Fox has had a hard time when it comes to their X-Men movie series. Spanning a total of nine movies produced since the break of the millennium the series has relished in many highs and sunk to frightening lows, the worst of which was finally put to rest earlier this year with the release of the series first R-rated installment; Deadpool. Unfortunately, this year's second X-Men movie Apocalypse proved as uninspired as the movie's marketing, but fans are hopeful for a return to form with the next installment, which should introduce Mr. Sinister and the next Wolverine movie, which will reportedly be Hugh Jackman's last. In the interim audiences and fans will be able to enjoy the new TV serial Legion, due early next year on FX...
The new serial stars British actor Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey) as David Charles Haller AKA Legion, Charles Xavier's son. FX CEO John Landgraf confirmed recently that the show will exist within a parallel universe to that depicted in the movies, but if it follows the comics we could see the two universes crossed together if the show proves successful enough.
