Director Roland Emmerich has just shared the next addition to Independence Day 2's cast on his own personal Twitter. William Fichtner has officially joined the cast along with Liam Hemsworth, Jeff Goldblum, Jessie Usher, Brent Spiner, Vivica A. Fox, Sela Ward and many others! His inclusion only adds to the already-impressive cast lineup for this highly anticipated sci-fi sequel.
UPDATE: According to Deadline Fitchner will be playing the role of a Top General in Independence Day 2. What's even more interesting is that the site also claims that his role will be even larger in the following sequels, Independence Day 3 and Independence Day 4. This obviously means Fitchner's character will not die during the course of Independence Day 2.
