Who Will Scoot McNairy Play In Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice?

Back in August American producer, actor and star of movies such as Argo, Non Stop and Gone Girl, Scoot McNairy was snapped on the set of Zack Snyders forthcoming DC face off movie and the stepping stone to a DC Cinematic Universe; Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

The inclusion of the visual effects green socks, normally used to digitally remove and/or replace part of an actors anatomy has caused much speculation as to which character the young actor is actually going to portray in the eagerly anticipated movie, with speculation among fans suggesting characters such as Jimmy Olsen, Dick Grayson, Metallo and Dr. Magnus (creator of the Metal Men).

Speaking recently with USA Today McNairy spoke cryptically about the movie, revealing very little about his actual role...

“Man, I would love to spend hours with you about it but I don’t know if you’d see me in another movie if I did.”

"Zack Snyders an incredible filmmaker and an incredible visionary. Playing in that world with comic books you’ve been reading since you were a kid, being someone in that world, it’s awesome.”

“It’s definitely 100% a character I’ve never played and I can’t speak too freely on it, but yeah, getting into that thing was definitely something I had to wrap my head around emotionally in order to play that character. But with that being said, I had a lot of fun doing it when I was in the process of shooting on it — my head was in a different place but I’m really excited to see how it turns out and what they do with it and see the film.”

From the suit McNairy is wearing in the above pic and from the actors physical features we strongly believe the actor will be portraying Louis Lane and Clark Kent's favorite photographer Jimmy Olsen, previously portrayed by Aaron Ashmore in Smallville (X-Men's Shawn Ashmores identical twin brother), Justin Whalin in the New Adventures of Superman (Michael Landes in the first season) and Marc McClure in Superman I-IV and spinoff movie Supergirl.
