Amazon are actively developing a live-action TV series based on the popular survival RPG game, Fallout. Production is set to begin later this year and so far, things are looking very promising as! As Deadline previously reported, TV veteran Walton Goggins has been cast as a lead role and will be playing the role of an unnamed Ghoul!
For those unfamiliar, Ghouls are basically irradiated Humans who managed to survive the Nuclear Fallout. As a result, some Ghouls devolved into feral, cannibalistic monsters while others managed to keep their faculties and were able to survive in the post-apocalyptic environments, interacting with others "normally".
Given Goggins' range as an actor, we expect his Ghoul character will be that of the latter, rather than a crazed zombie.
As production enters full swing later this year, expect more casting announcements to be made! We'll keep you posted as new developments arrive!
