While visiting MotroCity Comic-Con, Independence Day and Independence Day 2 actress Vivica A. Fox spoke briefly about the upcoming sequel, which is currently filming in New Mexico. During the interview, Vivica does confirm our speculations, that Jessie Usher would play her son in the new movie, which is set 20 years after the events of the first film.
You can watch the video interview over on Mlive.com. Besides revealing Jessie Usher's role in the film, not much else is said. Will Smith who played Vivica's husband in the first film will not be reprising his role however in Independence Day 2 so it will be interesting to see how they deal with his character in the film, as up until this point, no replacement actor has been cast to fill that role.
