Tyrese Gibson and Josh Duhamel will be reunited as Sergeant Robert Epps and Lieutenant Colonel William Lennox, the former members of the N.E.S.T. (Non-biological Extraterrestrial Species Treaty) Task Force who fought alongside the Optimus Prime and the Autobots against the Decepticons prior to the events of Age of Extinction. After the Battle of Chicago the formation of Cemetry Wind; a CIA Black Ops Task Force that had partnered with the Cybertronian bounty hunter Lockdown saw all Transformers, regardless of their allegiance being hunted.
Gibson confirmed in an interview with ET that he will return in the forthcoming sequel which will likely see Lennox and Epps teamed up with Mark Wahlberg's Cade Yaeger, once again fighting alongside Bumblebee and the rest of the Autobots against the resurrected Megatron, who will likely take advantage of Optimus Primes (reportedly brief) absence.
