Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker continues to dominate at the global Box Office, raking in an impressive $815 million worldwide so far! The ninth Star Wars movie managed to position itself as the fourth highest earning film on New Year's day of all time after pulling in $17.5 million domestically.

Entering 2020, The Rise of Skywalker shows no signs of slowing down and is currently eye-balling the glorious $1 billion mark. With only $185 million to go worldwide, we expect ROS to cross the billion-dollar mark before this month's end.
Earnings of this magnitude are always great news for the franchise and its studio and usually solidifies additional sequels / spin-offs. Although the Skywalker saga has come to an end with The Rise of Skywalker, Disney certainly are not done making Star Wars movies.
