2016 promises to be the year of the comic book movie with an amazing six comic book adaptations coming to the big screen. One of, if not the biggest of the of the quintet of epic movies is Warner Bros. attempt to forge a cineatic universe based upon the popular chracters from DC comics. Directed by Zack Snyder, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is a triple barrelled movie; it is a sequel to 2013's Man of Steel (also directed by Snyder), the first time in Hollywood cinematic history the two characters have faced each other, and is a prequel to 2017's Justice League movie, which is also to be directed by Snyder. Suicide Squad, which is directed by David Ayer and due for release in August next year is also part of the shared universe of which Batman v Superman inhabits. Dawn of Justice releases March 25th, 2016.
