Samuel L. (Leroy) Jackson is one of hollywoods biggest and most popular actors, with a catalogue of film roles most actors would die for - Star Wars, Pulp Fiction, Shaft, Avengers, Captain America, Unthinkable, Jurassic Park, Die Hard, Unbreakable, RoboCop and many, many... many more.
Who's the black private dick, That's a sex machine to all the chicks?
You're damn right!
After gracing the big screen three times as the Jedi Knight that chopped off the head of Boba Fett's daddy, Mace Windu, Jackson soon returned to our big screens as the one eyed, no-nonsense leader of S.H.I.E.L.D. Nick Fury (played in the 1998 by David Hasselhoff). His iteration of the character is so loved and recognized that Marvel have even patterened the character, in the Ultimate comic line, on Jackson's likeness.
Speaking with TV3 recently Jackson, while Promoting Captain America: The Winter Soldier talked briefly about the role of Nick Fury...
SAY... THAT... AGAIN!!!
"I remember Fury from when I was a kid. Back then, he was a middle-aged white guy with a cigar in his mouth during World War II. He was one of Captain America's contemporaries - which kind of makes you wonder how he stays looking so young, But I'm a realist in terms of what I watch."
"My audience knows how old I am and there comes a point when you think: 'How much longer can I do this kind of film and be believable in it?'"
