Stephen Lang is already part of the sequels that director James Cameron is planning to direct back to back. A long journey, he has to endure, and then we, the fans, will get to feast our eyes on the creative world of director Cameron again. The longer the better, if you ask me, because it's always the best trick for a film-maker to take his/her time with the product to simply make it better. Avatar is a huge project, and I mean, not only in scope, we're talking about billions of dollars.
Anyway, Hollywood Reporter, spread the word today that actors Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana will be back to play their respective roles as Jack Sully and Neytiri. There will be three films that Cameron is planning to shoot back to back. The sequel to Avatar is scheduled to hit the screens in December 2016. And the second to follow in December 2017 and the third one, which is going to be the fourth installment, in December 2018.
Cameron and John Landau will produce the sequels through their Lightstorm Entertainment banner. Stay tuned for more updates.
