Both Pacific Rim 2 and the upcoming Godzilla (2014) sequel will be among the first batch of films to utilize the massive, $8.2 Billion, 408-acre Mega-Studio by Wanda, currently under construction in China! Referred to as the Qingdao Movie Metropolis, this enormous studio will also feature the world's largest indoor sound stage!
The Wanda Corporation recently acquired Legendary Entertainment for a staggering $3.2 Billion at the start of this year. In partnership with Warner Brothers Entertainment and Universal Pictures, both the highly anticipated Pacific Rim sequel and Godzilla sequel will be one of the first to take advantage of not only the gigantic new Mega-Studio, but also an attractive 40-percent rebate, jointly funded by various Chinese regional governments.

“Pacific Rim 2,” produced by Wanda-owned Legendary Entertainment will be the first movie to shoot at the park when cameras roll later this month. Legendary’s “Godzilla” will also be shot there.
