It gives us some new footage of Kong fighting multiple giant Skull Crawlers as well as a few other new cut-scenes of never-before-seen footage. Kong: Skull Island is a new King Kong film set in the new Legendary / Warner Brothers / Universal Pictures Kaiju cinematic universe. Acting as a blood relative and somewhat of a sequel to 2014's GodzillaSkull Island will introduce King Kong like never before.

Official Synopsis:

In March 2017, the producers of Godzilla transport audiences to the birthplace of one of the most powerful monster myths of all in KONG: SKULL ISLAND, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures.

When a scientific expedition to an uncharted island awakens titanic forces of nature, a mission of discovery becomes an explosive war between monster and man. Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Kong to me looks 40ft when fighting them. He looks 200ft standing in the sunset. I think it's a mountain behind them and they're trees to the left. It's hard to tell. The scene goes by quickly. The movie looks good though.

So awesome! I love that Kong smashed one into the ground and then turned to face the other as it was leaping at him. This is going to be an intense fight. I can't wait.

Good question. There are several Kong skulls in the trailer so it's possible.
