The official James Bond twitter has put up a new picture from the set of SPECTRE. The picture is of a clapperboard agains the background of an icy lake. The caption of the picture was 'first day back on set', indicating the first day of shooting for this particular location, which is Austria. We previously discussed that SPECTRE would be filming scenes in Austria.
This backdrop does hold intriguing scene possibilities which we we discuss briefly. First, it is difficult to tell at the angle whether or not the lake is frozen. However, there could be intriguing action scenes either way. The clapboard appears to be resting on a wooden beam, and it is difficult to tell whether it is a bench, or a larger structure from the angle of the photograph.
It is also unclear how much time will be spent at this specific location. Previously we reported that SPECTRE may be filming at a mountain village in Austria, and so the scene here may be connected to that one. The lake pictured is particularly large, and would provide a huge arena for any number of action scenes that the production may choose to shoot.
