Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo AKA Leo, Donnie, Raph and Mikey - The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were originally, in the comics, four turtles and brothers whom were abandoned in the sewers were exposed to a cannister of radioactive news, which mutated them into humanoid turtles. Years later, taught the ancient martial art of Ninjitsu, with each of the brohers speciaizing in the use of their own, chosen weapom. Upon reaching their teenage years the Turtles were ready, to become vigiante heros, saving New York City from the criminal activities of the Foot Clan and their leader Oruku Saki AKA the Shredder.
