A while back we featured a trailer and some footage from the new Mortal Kombat video game that is in development. The game which builds on the success of its predecessor, also shares the same engine used for the Injustice: Gods Amongst Us fighting game featuring characters from the DC comics. This new Mortal Kombat looks amazing, with combos and moves flowing seamlessly together in a flurry of attacks never before seen in a Mortal Kombat game.
Lets be honest, the Mortal Kombat games have always been about style over substance, with many of the earlier instalments in the franchise full of unlockables and cool looking characters, but very little actual gameplay. Finally after 13 years the 10th instalment looks set to actually be a well thought out, balanced and strategic fighter.
