With the San Diego Comic-Con just around the corner, Netflix have released posters for both its upcoming Punisher series (below) and its Defenders crossover show (above). Thanks to Entertainment Week for the heads up.
Both of the shows are set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and share continuity with the Avengers films. The Defendors will feature the long awaited team-up of Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), and Iron Fist (Finn Jones), whilst The Punisher will showcase the exploits of the infamous murderous vigilante, with Jon Bernthal reprising his role from season 2 of Daredevil. As we've come to expect from Netflix's Marvel offerings, both shows will also be incredibly violent, and we wouldn't expect anything less.
The Defenders will premiere on Netflix on August 18, 2017, whilst the Punisher will bring his killing spree to the streaming service later in the year.
