Despite the fact that there's been an endless amount of hostility between Disney and 20th Century Fix since the latter purchased Marvel back in 2009, in seems that the two will finally collaborate on a new X-Men TV series.
Variety reports that Matt Nix will serve as the showrunner on a new series in which the parents of a young mutant girl go on the run from the government and eventually join a secret underground society of mutants. It is unclear if it is intended to be set in the same continuity as Fox's X-Men movies, although Bryan Singer will serve as a producer.
The series will be co-produced by both Marvel Television (which is owned by Disney) and 20th Century Fox, and will hopefully pave the way for more collaborations between the two in future.
