MONARCH have embedded secret images and information on the new Kong: Skull Island poster we reported on yesterday! The secret images and messages can only be viewed when shining a blacklight over them and thanks to our Facebook friend Brian Luong, we now have 8 close-up photos of these hidden features, with more on the way!
First up we have a hidden message with coordinates labeled "Geological Disturbance - Abnormal Readings - Florafauna Harvest Site".
Next, we have another coordinate, labeled "Bone yard" with a message reading "Hypervore leaving". The bone yard is likely the location featured in the Kong: Skull Island trailer. The term Hypervore could reference the type of species Kong belongs to. However the next photo suggests a more official term for Kong. Perhaps Hypervores describe any superior creature which feeds off nuclear energy?
The next message indicates the supposed whereabouts of Kong himself. The messages shown here contain some fairly big reveals - Kong is considered an "Apex Primate" officially, with a message reading "Predator / Guardian / Roaming / Deity". The passage underneath this line is especially interesting - "Adolescent Superspecies". This essentially confirms that Kong is not fully grown in Skull Island (giving him ample time to grow enough to square up against Godzilla in their 2020 catch-up).
This section of the poster seems to indicate a storm system or unstable presence outside the border of Skull Island. The message warns of a storm "Beyond a supercell".
The following images are especially fascinating because they reveal actual Monsters (or at least their remains) - and they're HUGE.
This one above seems to depict a massive Eel-like creature. The scales almost look like the back of Godzilla's neck! The next one below, shows the skull of a massive marine reptile. Its Skull is clearly visible, yet the rest of its body remains buried under Skull Island, or perhaps submerged in an underwater cave.
Here's a close-up and better shot of the skull:
Finally, this portion of the poster features MONARCH intel for Skull Island. It shows they have codenamed the project "Skull" and date the report April 7th, 1973. There is more to the message and we will be receiving more images of this section soon, so be sure to be sure to check back often!
So much has been revealed on this poster, with so much more yet to be discovered. As we receive new photos, this post will be updated accordingly. To re-cap though, we now know Kong is still in his relative infancy at the time of this report (April 1973). We also know Skull Island is home to many, massive creatures.
