Yesterday it was confirmed by THR that LEGO movie directors Christopher Miller and Phil Lord (pictured above) will direct to eagerly awaited Star Wars Anthology movie previously helmed by Fantastic Four director Josh Trank (as confirmed by StarWars.com). The second planned Anthology movie is set to feature a young Han Solo, Chewbacca, Lando Calrissian and Boba Fett, chronicling how the dynamics developed between the characters as seen in Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. Miller and Lord, whom turned down the chance to direct Ghostbusters 3, will direct and produce the movie, based upon a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and his son, Jon Kasdan.
There is still no news regards a third Anthology movie in which Ewan McGregor is rumored to reprise his role as Obi Wan Kenobi, though there could be a possible announcment at the Lucasfilm panel at SDCC this Friday.
