During last night's monumental Marvel Studio's panel the cast and director of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 were present including the Walking deads Michael Rooker in full costume and make-up as Yondu. Those lucky enough to be in attendance were treated to an as-of-yet unreleased trailer which confirmed that 80's Hollywood legend Kurt Russell has been cast as Ego, the celestial that took human form and shared a night of passion with Peter Quill's mother decades before back on Earth - Yes Kurt Rusell will play Starlord's father as fans speculated. Pom Klementieff's new character Mantis is said to have lived with Ego before joining the Guardians in the movie. Elizabeth Debicki was also confirmed to be cast as Ayesha AKA Kismet.
The footage also revealed two of the songs that will be on the movies soundtrack, the Awesome Mix Vol.2. The songs were "Come A Little Bit Closer" by Jay and the Americans, and "The Chain" by Fleetwood Mac.
Benicio del Toro was also confirmed to return as the Collector. Not for the sequel, but for the forthcoming Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout theme park attraction set to be coming to Disneyland California Adventure.
