Jordan Vogt-Roberts, director of Kong: Skull Island, the second official installment of the Legendary / Warner Brothers / Universal Monsterverse cinematic universe tweeted an interesting photo this evening with an accompanying quote revealing that Skull Island nearly featured a "trippy LSD dream sequence":
Since it was 'Nam and the 70's I really wanted to do an LSD dream sequence. Things were going to get trippy. Never was able to shoot it tho.
We're not entirely sure what the sequence would have included, but the sounds of an LSD induced dream involving King Kong and whatever other monstrous horrors from Skull Island are fairly intriguing. It's a shame this scene was never explored on film.
