After an entire year of rumours and speculation about who would portray the mercenary Cable in Deadpool 2, it's now been confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter that Josh Brolin has landed the role.
Brolin, who was nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Milk, is currently shooting Avengers: Infinity War, where he plays the Mad Titan Thanos. His deal with Fox is for four movies, so we should be seeing a whole lot of Cable in the near future.
Ryan Reynolds will return as the merc with a Mouth in Deadpool 2, which is set to start shooting in June in Vancouver with David Leitch directing. T.J. Miller, Brianna Hildebrand and Karan Soni will also reprise their roles from the previosu film.
